A Government Linkage & Awareness Session was conducted to strengthen farmers’ access to essential schemes and support systems.

A total of 185+ farmers participated in the session, engaging actively to understand various government initiatives across agriculture, health, and livelihood sectors.

Farmers were introduced to key schemes such as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Yojana, PM Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Bharat), PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, along with support initiatives like Solar KUSUM, Fencing Subsidy, Pipeline Subsidy, and Tractor Subsidy schemes.

With dedicated on-ground support, 67 farmers were empowered and enrolled, enabling them to take a meaningful step towards improved opportunities and financial security.

Overall, 11 government schemes were introduced, helping bridge the gap between awareness and access.

Borewell Installation at Shaskiya Madhyamik Ashramshala, Amgaon: Water Where It Was Needed Most

Access to something as basic as water was once a daily challenge at Shaskiya Madhyamik Ashramshala, Amgaon.
Every drop had to be arranged, making even routine activities difficult.

With the installation of a borewell, that reality has now changed.
Today, water is available right where it is needed — supporting drinking, cooking and everyday use.

What flows here today is not just water, but dignity.
A small step towards solving a basic need, creating a meaningful impact in everyday life.

In many rural schools, digital learning is still out of reach. Classrooms function without access to computers, limiting students’ exposure to essential skills in today’s world.

At Maswan Ashram Shala, Palghar, this gap was a reality—until now.

With the support of AMC – All India Medical Council, Shri Chaitanya Health & Care Trust (SCHCT) has equipped the school with 5 computers, giving students their first opportunity to experience digital learning.

For them, this is not just about using a computer—it is about discovering new possibilities, building confidence, and preparing for a future shaped by technology.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today we celebrate the strength, determination, and aspirations of rural women who are building better futures for themselves and their families.

In Palghar district, women from Self-Help Groups are running a paper plate production unit, learning new skills and generating sustainable livelihoods. With every plate produced, they are strengthening their confidence, financial independence, and role in their communities.

This initiative is supported by Shri Chaitanya Health and Care Trust (SCHCT) with the generous support of Kotak Mahindra Investments Limited, working together to promote sustainable rural livelihoods and empower women.

Strengthening Sustainable Agriculture at the Grassroots

A total of 115 farmers participated in an intensive village-level training on Organic Farming and Scientific Crop Management.

The program included live demonstrations on preparation of Jeevamrut, garlic-chilli-ginger extract, Triparni extract and natural growth promoters. Farmers were also guided on pest and disease management, trap crops, fertilizer application, proper spraying techniques, and seasonal planning for Rabi crops and vegetables.

The training focused on promoting low-cost, self-reliant and sustainable agricultural practices. By preparing natural inputs independently, farmers can significantly reduce cultivation costs, improve long-term soil fertility, and enhance crop quality — leading to better income and long-term sustainability.

This initiative was implemented by Shri Chaitanya Health and Care Trust (SCHCT) with the support of Kotak Mahindra Investment Limited (KMIL) as part of its commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods and sustainable development.

Such capacity-building efforts contribute directly to resilient farming communities and environmentally responsible agriculture.

Exposure Visit to Govardhan Eco Village

Students who participated in the Geeta Champions League, organised by Shri Chaitanya Health & Care Trust, visited Govardhan Eco Village for a day of experiential learning.

Through thoughtfully designed activities, they explored courage, focus, teamwork, creativity, and spiritual reflection. For many tribal and rural students from Palghar, this visit offered new surroundings, new ideas, and new confidence.

Exposure creates perspective. Perspective builds confidence. And confidence shapes the future.

Science Exposure Visit

For some of these students from Palghar, this was their first time stepping outside their village.

At the Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, they explored science beyond textbooks — engaging with experiments and experiencing the planetarium for the very first time.

For a few, it was also their first sight of the sea — a moment of wonder that words cannot fully capture. 🌊

This exposure visit was organised by Shri Chaitanya Health and Care Trust (SCHCT) with the support of Blue Star Ltd., creating opportunities that expand confidence, curiosity, and dreams.

Because when children are exposed to the world beyond their surroundings, they begin to imagine a bigger future.

In Vikramgad, Palghar, livelihoods once depended entirely on the monsoon.

With 86% marginal farmers and limited irrigation access, uncertainty shaped everyday life.

Through the SBI Gram Saksham initiative, SBI Foundation, in partnership with Shri Chaitanya Health & Care Trust (SCHCT), is strengthening water security, improving farm productivity, and building resilient rural communities.

Under this integrated approach, including SBI Bhagirath for water conservation:

✔ 317 open wells constructed
✔ 34 farm ponds developed
✔ 11+ crore litres of water conserved annually
✔ 500+ acres irrigated
✔ 650+ families trained in efficient vegetable cultivation
✔ 3,000+ lives strengthened

Water secured. Agriculture strengthened. Communities empowered.
