Kohka Foundation is a Non Profit Organisation working towards the upliftment of tribal communities in Seoni District of Madhya Pradesh, S*x Workers and Visually Impaired in Mumbai through education, skill-development, SHG's and health. More power to Project Shakti! 💪🥋

Proud to share that 10 of our beneficiaries participated in the Inter-State Karate Championship (Seoni | 25–26 Dec), and 6 of our girls won medals, bringing immense pride to all of us.

Apart from regular training, we actively support and encourage their participation in tournaments by taking care of all expenses including boarding, lodging, tracksuits and entry fees.

Thank you for standing with us in empowering tribal girls with strength, confidence and self-belief. 🙏

With the support of one of our female inmate beneficiaries at District Jail Seoni—an expert in bandhej printing, block printing, fabric printing, and tailoring—we launched a self-employment program for women inmates under the initiative “Udaan.” The program has been very well received and is enthusiastically attended by all the inmates.

Along with Udaan, we have also introduced an Adult Literacy Program for the women. We extend our sincere gratitude to TCS, our knowledge partner, for their long and fruitful association with us.

Together, these initiatives play a vital role in rehabilitation and successful reintegration into society, significantly reducing the rate of reoffending.

Yesterday was truly special—our Sakhi Saheli team reached 3 schools, and 538 girls from Gengrua and Ari High & Middle School joined us for an open, empowering session on menstrual health and hygiene.

The energy in the rooms was incredible—questions, laughter, and most importantly, the confidence of young girls learning that periods are natural, normal, and nothing to be ashamed of.

Word is spreading fast, and schools from across the region are reaching out to us to host these sessions. Together, we’re breaking taboos, one conversation at a time.
