We are striving to empower those families in need and from the society excluded children. We support families through Education, Employment, Basic Life Needs, Housing and Child Rights.

Yoga class 🧘🏽‍♀️ •• The kids enjoyed a yoga class by Luna! In The Blue House we host extra-curricular activities after school. Lifting families out of absolute poverty •• Research shows that differential access can have a lasting effect on development. Children’s development and well-being are threatened by parents living in poverty, resulting in deprivations in nourishment, simple child-care and social interactions. The BHP lifts families out of absolute poverty, which will have a long lasting impact on the development of children.

Transparency •• The BHP is a small scaled local-led organization. 100% of all donations is invested into the project. There are no overhead costs and all paid employees belong to the camp community itself. I manage this NGO on a voluntary basis besides working for Oxfam Novib full time. My mother and me visit Pushkar frequently to oversee the projects and build relationships with the families. We have been doing so for 10 years and we always pay our own travel expenses and tickets.

Family support •• The Blue House Project strives to lift families out of poverty through education and employment. On these photos you see five of our students who we enrolled in the Parashar School. Next to them are their proud parents and siblings. Each of these four families not only has a child in our school, the adults are also employed by The BHP. Photo 1: Akshay’s mother Lichma is working in our women center. Photo 2: A***n and Shalu’s father Dilip is our Tuktuk driver. Photo 3: Pawan’s brother Javari is our other Tuktuk driver and team lead.
