*National Seminar on Humanism and Neohumanism in Siddho- Kanho -Birsa University, Purulia on 29th September*

Today a one day National Seminar on "Humanism to Neohumanism of Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Philosophy and teachings- its retrospect and prospect" was organized by Department of Philosophy, Sidho- Kanho Birsa University in collaboration with Ananda Marga College, Ananda Nagar, Purulia.
The seminar was organized at room no.- 308, Second floor, Academic Building-1, SKB University.
Prof. Pabitra Kumar Chakraborti, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, SKBU was the Chief Patron. He spoke on Neohumanism and explained that it is not only welfare of human beings as well as welfare of all living and non living beings, which makes this philosophy highly holistic and valuable.
Dr. Gurudas Mondol, Registrar, SKBU and Acharya Divyachetananda Avadhuta, Central Public Relations Secretary, Ananda Marga Pracharak Samgha were the patron of this program. Prof. Arbani Sen, Dean faculty of Arts was Guest of Honour. Dr. Sudipta Chakrabvortti, Associate Professr, SKBU, Dr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, Allahabad University, Prayagraj and Kashmira murmu, Assistant Professor, Revenshaw University, Odisha were distinguished speakers.
Prof. Rajkumar Modak, HOD, Department of Philosophy, SKBU, Purulia delivered welcome Speech and introduced the guest speakers.
Acharya Divyachetanand Avadhuta, while delivering keynote speech, he explained Ananda Marga philosophy has three approaches; ¡) Intuitional approach. ii) Psycho intellectual approach. iii ) Socio economic approach. Further, he explained concept cycle of creation. He said that that in the process of creation the fulfillment of centrifugal movement means extroversial movement from subtle to crude. So, Ananda Marga Philosophy is based one to many and many to one. In other words, Ananda Marga Philosophy is of non dualism, dualism and non- dualism. He further highlighted Humanism to Neo-humanism. He said that the total perfection and imperfection of human being is called humanity. When he get noble and higher ideas it is called humanism. It is not inspird perennial source of inspiration means cult of spirituality. Whereas Neohumanism is inspired by perrinial source of inspiration means cult of spirituality. The underlying spirit of humanity is extended to everything animate and inanimate.
Neohumanism will elevate Humanism to Universalism. The cult of love is created among all living beings. Here Socio economic approach means Shrii P.R. Sarkar's socio economic theory popularly known as Progressive Utilization Theory aka PROUT. In this theory there are two elements- i) Economic theory, ii) Guiding Philosophy means Universalism. Economic theory advocates about guarantee of the minimum requirements, maximum utilization and rational distribution.
Dr.Shailendra Kumar Singh a resource person for the programme from central university of Allahabad explored the shift from Classical Humanism to Neo Humanism, propounded by Shrii P.R. Sarkar. He also discussed the relevance of Neohumanism to resolve the problems of our modern age. Kashmira Murmu from Revenshaw University, Cuttack has presented a comparative perspective of western and Shrii Sarkar's neohumanism. The other distinguished guest of the program was Sri Kamlakant Hansda, MLA from Kashipur legislative constituency. He expressed his appreciation for the nobel concept of Neohumanism of Shrii PR Sarkar. Another distinguished guest was Sri Ajit Mahto who explained the meaning of humanism for an inclusive and integral society. He appreciated chosing such important subject for seminar. Sri Bidyasagar Chakraborti, Vice President of state committee of BJP said that India's ethos is humanity and India is capable teaching Humanism to entire world.
