SEWA Rural participated as a resource partner in the two-day Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) organized by UNICEF across three batches in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 2nd, 12th and 15th May 2026.

More than 240 participants from 38 districts of Gujarat, representing ICDS, NHM, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Swachh Bharat Mission, and other Government of Gujarat departments attended the sessions.

The workshop focused on adolescent health, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, anemia, gender equality, WASH facilities, and period-friendly sanitation through interactive discussions and activities. SEWA Rural’s Menstrual Hygiene Corner was also showcased during the program.

Dr. Shobhaben guided participants on the physical, mental, and social changes during adolescence, while Gayatriben Patel addressed menstrual myths and misconceptions through a scientific perspective. The initiative aimed to strengthen awareness, improve safe menstrual hygiene practices, and build the capacity of frontline stakeholders across Gujarat.

On Sunday, SEWA Rural Hospital organized an Eye Diagnosis Camp at Dariya village, Jhagadia Taluka, bringing essential eye and health care services closer to the community.

A total of 136 patients benefited from the camp, with 86 patients receiving glasses at concessional rates and 63 patients undergoing free blood pressure and diabetes check-ups.

25 patients were referred for cataract and other eye surgeries, out of which 16 patients will undergo surgery with lens implantation, giving them the gift of clearer vision and a better quality of life.

દરિયા ગામ ખાતે સેવા રૂરલ હોસ્પિટલ દ્વારા આયોજિત આંખ નિદાન કેમ્પમાં 136 દર્દીઓએ લાભ લીધો. 👁️
મફત તપાસ, રાહત દરે ચશ્માં અને મોતિયાના ઓપરેશન દ્વારા ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારોમાં આરોગ્યસેવાનો વધુ એક સકારાત્મક પ્રયત્ન.

🤝 an engaging Sky Observation Program was organized by Janprakruti Foundation Trust, Bharuch.

નમસ્તે મિત્રો! 🌿

1/5/2026, શુક્રવારના દિવસે CPHC – IM TeCHO 2.0 પ્રોજેક્ટ હેઠળ ગ્રામ આરોગ્ય ક્ષેત્રમાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ પગલું લેવામાં આવ્યું.

ગ્રામ કાયર્કરો માટે HTN, DM, Elderly Care, Musculoskeletal, Palliative Care અને Mental Health જેવી મહત્વપૂર્ણ આરોગ્ય સેવાઓની સ્ક્રીનિંગ માટે વિશેષ તાલીમ આયોજન કરવામાં આવી.

આ તાલીમમાં કુલ 27 ગ્રામ કાયર્કર અને 5 કેર કોઓર્ડિનેટરે ઉત્સાહભેર ભાગ લીધો. 💪

તાલીમનું માર્ગદર્શન Dr. Sumeet Sir અને Dr. Bhavyati Ma’am દ્વારા આપવામાં આવ્યું, જેમણે આરોગ્ય સેવાઓને વધુ મજબૂત બનાવવા માટે માર્ગદર્શન પૂરું પાડ્યું.

આ પહેલ ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારોમાં આરોગ્ય સેવાઓને વધુ સશક્ત બનાવવાની દિશામાં એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ કદમ છે. 🌼

Hello everyone! 🌿

On Friday, 1/5/2026, an important step was taken under the CPHC – IM TeCHO 2.0 project to strengthen rural healthcare services.

A special training session was organized for village health workers on screening for key health areas including HTN, DM, elderly care, musculoskeletal conditions, palliative care, and mental health.

A total of 27 village health workers and 5 care coordinators participated enthusiastically. 💪

The training was conducted by Dr. Sumeet Sir and Dr. Bhavyati Ma’am, who provided valuable guidance to enhance healthcare services at the grassroots level.

This initiative marks a significant step toward empowering rural healthcare and ensuring better health outcomes for all. 🌼

શાળા છોડેલ કિશોર-કિશોરી શિબિર

📍 ગામ: વાંકોલ અને મુંગજ

આજરોજ બંને ગામોમાં શાળા છોડેલ કિશોર-કિશોરીઓ માટે શિબિરનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું. ટીમ દ્વારા ગામમાં જઈ કિશોર-કિશોરીઓને ભેગા કરી શિબિર અંગે માહિતગાર કરવામાં આવ્યા. કાર્યક્રમની શરૂઆત પ્રાર્થના સાથે કરવામાં આવી.

ત્યારબાદ વાંચન અને પરિચય સત્ર યોજાયા તેમજ આરોગ્યલક્ષી સેશન લેવામાં આવ્યું, જેમાં નાની ઉંમરે લગ્નના પ્રભાવ, ફેમિલી પ્લાનિંગ, જીવનસાથીની યોગ્ય પસંદગી અને સોશિયલ મીડિયાના સદુપયોગ વિશે વિસ્તૃત ચર્ચા કરવામાં આવી. કિશોર-કિશોરીઓ માટે વિડિઓ દર્શન તથા રમતો પણ યોજવામાં આવી, જેમાં તેઓએ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો.

ત્યારબાદ MHM કીટ અંગે માહિતી આપવામાં આવી, જેમાં કુલ 11 કિશોરીઓએ કીટ મેળવી. અંતે નાસ્તો આપવામાં આવ્યો અને શિબિર પૂર્ણ કરવામાં આવી.

School Dropout Adolescent Camp

📍 Villages: Vankol and Mungaj

Today, a camp was organized for school dropout adolescents in both villages. The team visited the villages, gathered the adolescents, and informed them about the purpose of the camp. The program began with a prayer.

After that, reading and introduction sessions were conducted, followed by a health awareness session. Topics discussed included the effects of early marriage, family planning, choosing the right life partner, and the proper use of social media. Videos were shown and games were conducted, in which the adolescents participated enthusiastically.

Further, information about MHM kits was provided, and a total of 11 girls received the kits. The camp concluded with refreshments.

જ્યારે એક સ્ત્રી શીખે છે, ત્યારે આખું પરિવાર આગળ વધે છે.

સામર્થ્ય કેમ્પ (બેચ 2) માં 33 મહિલાઓ અને યુવતીઓ ત્રણ દિવસ માટે શીખવા, વિચારવા અને વિકાસ માટે એકત્ર થઈ. આત્મવિશ્વાસ વધારવાથી લઈને પોતાના અધિકારો સમજવા સુધી, સ્વરોજગારની તકો શોધવાથી લઈને જીવનકૌશલ્ય વિકસાવવા સુધી—દરેક સત્ર તેમને વધુ સ્વનિર્ભર બનવાની દિશામાં એક પગલું બન્યું.
ચર્ચાઓ, પ્રવૃત્તિઓ અને સંયુક્ત અનુભવો દ્વારા કંઈક બદલાયું.
થોડો વધુ આત્મવિશ્વાસ. થોડી વધુ સ્પષ્ટતા. પોતાના સંભાવનાઓ પર વધુ મજબૂત વિશ્વાસ.

કારણ કે સામર્થ્ય માત્ર એક કેમ્પ નથી. આ તો અંદરની શક્તિને ઓળખવાની શરૂઆત છે.

When one woman learns, an entire family moves forward.

The Samarthya Camp (Batch 2) at SEWA Rural brought together 33 women and young girls for three days of learning, reflection and growth. From building confidence to understanding their rights, from exploring self-employment opportunities to developing everyday life skills, each session was a step towards becoming more self-reliant. Through conversations, activities and shared experiences, something shifted. A little more confidence, a little more clarity and a stronger belief in their own potential. Because Samarthya is not just a camp. It’s the beginning of recognising the strength within.

🩺 સિકલ સેલ દર્દીઓ માટે આરોગ્ય સેવાઓ વધુ મજબૂત બનાવવાના પ્રયત્નો! 💪

તારીખ ૧૭ એપ્રિલ ૨૦૨૬ના રોજ ‘સેવા રૂરલ’ દ્વારા નિષ્ણાત તાલીમ શિબિરનું સફળ આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું. આ તાલીમનો મુખ્ય હેતુ વાલિયા તાલુકા તેમજ સેવા રૂરલના મેડિકલ ઓફિસરોની ક્ષમતા વધારવાનો હતો.

આ શિબિરમાં ભાગ લેનાર ડૉક્ટરોએ સિકલ સેલ રોગના નિદાન, સારવાર અને સંચાલન અંગે વૈજ્ઞાનિક અને આધુનિક માહિતી મેળવી. 📚🔬

આ પહેલ દ્વારા દર્દીઓને વધુ ગુણવત્તાસભર અને અસરકારક આરોગ્ય સેવા મળી રહે તે તરફ એક મજબૂત પગલું ભરવામાં આવ્યું છે. ❤️

🩺 Strengthening healthcare services for sickle cell patients! 💪

On April 17, 2026, ‘SEWA Rural’ successfully organized an expert training workshop. The primary objective of this training was to enhance the capacity of medical officers from Valia taluka and SEWA Rural.

During the workshop, participating doctors gained scientific and updated knowledge on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of sickle cell disease. 📚🔬

This initiative marks a strong step toward ensuring more effective and high-quality healthcare services for patients. ❤️
