An official meeting was chaired by Shri Achi Balo Raja, Hon’ble Minister for Land Management, Urban Affairs & Civil Aviation, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, with the All Nyishi Students' Union ANSU led by President Shri Ashok Doka and General Secretary Shri Mai Aram Camdir.

The meeting was also attended by:
1. All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) led by President Shri Jamru Ruja
2. All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU) – President Shri Tam Romi Paul

*Key Issues Raised by ANSU*

1. Lada-Sarli Frontier Highway Project
ANSU strongly urged the Government to Constitute a dedicated recovery team to recover excess compensation only from ineligible beneficiaries, without harassing genuine landowners. Ensure equal and fair disbursement of compensation to all rightful beneficiaries.

ANSU expressed serious concern that the Lada-Sarli compensation controversy has become a major obstacle to the approval and progress of both the Frontier Highway and the proposed Inter-Corridor Road projects in Arunachal Pradesh.
While the Lada-Sarli road was envisioned as a bridge to development, it has unfortunately become a roadblock to the State's infrastructure advancement. ANSU categorically asserted that it will not allow one scam to derail the future of these vital highway corridors.

2. Kamle Hydro Project
The Hon’ble Minister assured that an official meeting with the concerned local MLAs and the respective District Administration will be convened. Objective of meeting is to ensure transparency, accountability, and justice in the disbursement of compensation, so that incidents similar to the Lada-Sarli compensation scam are never repeated.

ANSU reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the interests of genuine beneficiaries while fully supporting the transparent, accountable, and timely ex*****on of all developmental projects in the State.

The All Nyishi Students Union ANSU, led by Shri Ashok Doka, President, and Shri Mai Aram Camdir, General Secretary, called on the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh at the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), Niti Vihar, Itanagar.

During the meeting, the ANSU delegation submitted a memorandum highlighting several important issues concerning education, infrastructure, governance, and public welfare. The key demands placed before the Hon'ble Chief Minister were:

1: Establishment of a Government B.Ed. College in Keyi Panyor District to strengthen teacher education and improve access to professional training for aspiring educators.

2: Establishment of a Government School for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) in Pakke Kessang District to ensure inclusive and equitable educational opportunities.

3: Functionalisation of Toru Engineering College within the current academic year to make the institution operational and benefit students across the State.

4: Survey and preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the comprehensive reconstruction of the Hoj–Potin–Posa road, in coordination with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), within two months.

5: Shifting of the MoRTH Regional Office from Tezpur to Itanagar within 30 days to improve coordination and expedite infrastructure projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

6: Resolution of the Frontier Highway compensation re-verification and recovery issues in the Lada–Sarli Package, East Kameng District within two months to ensure timely justice for affected stakeholders.

7: Appointment of a regular Director of TRIHMS and restoration of its autonomous functioning in accordance with the Memorandum of Association and Bye-laws within one month.

The Hon'ble Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the Government would examine the issues with due priority and take appropriate action.

The ANSU expressed its gratitude to the Hon'ble Chief Minister for granting the audience and reaffirmed its commitment to constructively working with the Government in safeguarding the interests of students and promoting the overall development of the State.

The Central Executive Members (CEM) of the All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU), having deliberated upon the matter, have unanimously resolved to appoint Shri Gyamar Maya, Convenor, ANSU, as the Official Spokesperson of the All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU).

This appointment shall take effect immediately. In his capacity as the Official Spokesperson, Shri Gyamar Maya is hereby authorized to officially represent the Union and communicate its policies, decisions, and official statements before the public, media, government authorities, and all other concerned stakeholders on behalf of ANSU.

This resolution has been adopted unanimously by the Central Executive Members and shall remain in force until further orders.

ALL NYISHI STUDENTS' UNION (ANSU)

The All Nyishi Students' Union ANSU, convened its Central Executive Body (CEB) meeting at Papum Hall, DK Convention Centre, Itanagar, under the chairmanship of Shri Ashok Doka, President ANSU to deliberate on key issues concerning the welfare and progress of the Nyishi community.

The House held meaningful discussions on adopting an inclusive policy framework to promote Unity, Educational advancement, Youth empowerment, Cultural preservation, and sustainable Community development. Several important organizational matters and future initiatives were also reviewed.

The House reaffirmed ANSU's commitment to protecting the interests of the Nyishi community and resolved to work collectively with transparency, unity, and dedication for the overall development and empowerment of the community.

The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) organized an outreach tour to Nizi Village in Kamle District, Arunachal Pradesh, from 29th to 30th June 2026. The tour was led by Shri Lokam Kani, Vice-President, NES East.

The outreach programme was accompanied by the All Nyishi Students' Union ANSU led by Vice-President Shri Romesh Maga, along with his team, and members of the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA).

The primary objective of the tour was to connect with the local community and promote unity, awareness, cooperation, and social harmony among the people. The programme also served as a platform to strengthen community bonds, encourage collective participation in social development, and foster closer coordination among the apex Nyishi organizations.

The President of Nyishi Elite Society (NES), Prof. Tana Showren, called on the All Nyishi Students' Union ANSU, team, led by President Shri Ashok Doka and General Secretary Shri Mai Aram Camdir, on 29 June 2026 at his residence at RGU Campus, Rono Hills, Doimukh.

During the meeting, the ANSU delegation apprised the NES President of the ground situation following the devastating floods that have severely affected Posa Village and NEEPCO Colony, Yazali, in Keyi Panyor District. The delegation also highlighted the extensive road blockages at several locations along the National Highway stretch between Hoj–Potin and Potin–Posa, which have seriously disrupted connectivity, relief operations, and the movement of the public.

The ANSU delegation appealed to the NES President to take up the matter with the highest authorities, emphasizing that the Hoj–Potin Highway serves as the lifeline for six districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The delegation stressed that the immediate restoration of the highway is essential to ensure the uninterrupted movement of essential commodities, emergency services, relief materials, and the affected public.

Prof. Tana Showren assured the ANSU delegation that the Nyishi Elite Society would pursue the matter with the appropriate authorities in the larger public interest. He also encouraged the ANSU leadership to continue serving society with commitment, dedication, and sincerity. Further, he assured the team of his continued guidance and support in working for the welfare, unity, and overall development of the Nyishi community.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening coordination between NES and ANSU in addressing issues affecting the people and safeguarding the interests of the community.

Today, All Nyishi Students' Union ANSU, returned from Posa Village after visited victim families of flash flood occurred at NEEPCO Colony Posa keyi Panyor District via Pistana, Silsango, and Sagalee. While during the return journey, team ANSU had official discussion with Head of Project (HoP) of Sushee Infra Pvt. Ltd., the executing agency for the Hoj–Seppa Highway project.

During the meeting, the HoP assured Team ANSU that, if weather conditions remain favourable, the road clearance from Hoj to Nichpu is expected to be completed within one month.

Team ANSU is also pleased to inform the people of the six districts who depend on the Hoj–Potin National Highway that road clearance work has officially commenced. During the field inspection, Team ANSU observed that approximately 1.5 km of the road has already been cleared.

Furthermore, Team ANSU requested the executing agency to deploy additional machinery from tomorrow to accelerate the clearance work and ensure the earliest possible restoration of road connectivity for the public.

All Nyishi Students' Union ANSU, under the leadership of Shri Ashok Doka President ANSU and Shri Mai Aram Camder General Secretary ANSU along with the Keyi Panyor District Students' Union (DSU) and affiliated Branch Students' Unions (BSUs), conducted an on-ground assessment of the devastating flash flood that struck Keyi Panyor District and parts of Papum Pare District. The assessment covered the affected areas from Hoj to Posa to evaluate the extent of the damage and understand the hardships faced by the affected communities. The team expressed solidarity with the victims and urged the concerned authorities to expedite relief, rehabilitation, and restoration efforts in the flood-affected areas.
