19 Digital Media Outlets Join AEDMA, Emphasizing Collective Growth and Media Standards

Itanagar, 23 May : The Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) on Friday conducted a membership induction programme for newly joined digital media outlets at its temporary office in RWD Colony, Itanagar, in the presence of executive body members and media representatives.

Welcoming the 19 new digital media platforms into the association, AEDMA President JT Tagam emphasized the need for a unified voice among media organizations and urged members to maintain ethical standards while publishing news content across digital platforms.

He also highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the association for the welfare and professional development of its registered members and the digital media fraternity in the state.

The newly inducted media houses include AB News Channel, Indian Prime News Arunachal Pradesh, KK News, Nefa Live, Papum Pare News, Arunachal Mojo, Siang Eung News Live, Hornbill News, Aalo News Today, Zoom Arunachal, Dawnlit Now, Arunachal News Coverage, JK News, Eastern Broadcast News, Jaago Arunachal News, Sagalee News, Keyi Panyor News, PP 24×7 News and Arunachal Local Lens.

Representatives from the newly joined media house also shared their expectations from the association and sought continued guidance and support from AEDMA for professional growth of the members.

To strengthen the organizational framework of the association, AEDMA constituted a Legal Cell, RTI Cell and Grievance Redressal Cell to provide guidance and assistance to its members on legal and professional issues.

The programme further witnessed a revision of the AEDMA bylaws based on suggestions and inputs received from both old and new members of the association.

During the program, AEDMA President JT Tagam expressed gratitude to Likha Nari Tadar, Mayor of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation, for promptly responding to the association’s appeal regarding the routing of Corporation advertisements and IEC contents through the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

He described the move as “a good beginning from the public office” and informed that AEDMA members would soon visit various government departments in line with the circular issued by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations on the implementation of the Arunachal Pradesh Print and Digital Advertisement Policy 2025.

The programme concluded with a collective commitment from members to uphold and strengthen the standards of digital media in Arunachal Pradesh.

AEDMA is pleased to announce that Senior Chartered Accountant Shri Ramesh Chandra Roy has graciously agreed to be the Financial Advisor of the Association for the 2025–28 session.

He will provide guidance and professional assistance to AEDMA members on matters related to company and tax returns.

In follow-up to the recent circular issued by the Directorate of IPR, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh on streamlining Government advertisements, AEDMA executive members led by its President JT Tagam called on Hon’ble Mayor of Itanagar Municipal Corporation, Smti Likha Nari Tadar regarding the implementation of the Advertisement Policy 2025 for Digital Media in the state.

The IMC Mayor responded positively to the appeal made by the AEDMA members to route the corporation’s IEC contents through the nodal agency in line with the policy guidelines.

The association will be further visiting major govt depts of the state to sensitise officials on the guidelines laid down under the Arunachal Pradesh Print and Digital Advertisement Policy 2025.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that the Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA) extends its deepest condolences on the sad demise of Shri Toko Audil Retd. ADC, the beloved father of our former AEDMA President, Shri Toko Migom.

We are deeply grieved to learn that Shri Toko Audil breathed his last at Hormin Hospital at 2:30 AM today.
Late Shri Toko Audil was a highly respected figure who served the state with utmost dedication as the retired Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Sagalee.

His leadership and enduring commitment to the community were further exemplified by his tenure as the former President of the Toko Welfare Association. His invaluable contributions to society and his legacy of public service will always be remembered and cherished.

In this hour of immense grief, the entire AEDMA family stands firmly in solidarity with Shri Toko Migom and his bereaved family.

We pray to the Almighty to grant them the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.

May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

A delegation of Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA), led by its President JT Tagam called on Shri Nyali Ete, Commissioner, Department of Information and Public Relations, Govt of AP to congratulate him on his promotion and to express gratitude for the various initiatives taken by the department for the welfare of media houses.

During the meeting, discussions were held on streamlining IEC contents (digital) of various state government departments through DIPR, ensuring timely empanelment and the prompt release of advertisement bills.

Deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Shri Om Bahadur, senior cameraman of Eastern Journal.

His death at such a young age is a huge loss for the media community of Arunachal Pradesh. He was a sincere, humble and hardworking professional who was respected by all who knew him.

We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. In this difficult time, we pray that they find the strength to cope with this painful loss.
