An organisation started by like-minded youth who want to protect, conserve and preserve the environment: To act and create awareness before it’s too late. Our first initiative is to address the perils of waste in Nagaland. Not only the waste accumulated but also its disposal. We believe that waste, if utilized, can be an asset. What we are trying to achieve is not only assisting in cleaning the waste but segregation of the waste. We want to be the platform that all groups or communities can take recourse to, for assistance in managing and disposing off their waste properly. We also want to address the informal sector i.e. We are open to collaboration of all kinds, with individual, group, community, or organisation.

Every woman deserves to manage her period with safety, comfort, and pride. Today, i.e., 9 September 2026, we teamed up with Boditive India to break the silence around menstrual hygiene and bring sustainable solutions to the grassroots. 🩸🌱

We hosted an awareness session for our amazing ragpickers and marginalised women’s families in Naga Colony, introducing them to the health and financial benefits of eco-friendly, reusable sanitary pads. Access to the right information and sustainable care shouldn’t depend on where you come from or what work you do.

Together with Boditive, we are changing the narrative—one open conversation, one sustainable choice, and one period at a time. ✨

Better late than never to celebrate a massive win! 🎉

A few week ago (on Sept 14), we successfully formed the Saheli Unnati Nutan (SUN) SHG in Naga Colony.

Honestly? It wasn’t easy. It took a lot of legwork, patience, and persistence to build trust and show the local ragpickers and marginalised women that this is a step toward their own growth and welfare. Building trust takes time, but the warmth and hope we feel now is unmatched. The SUN is officially rising! ☀️💛

This initiative is a part of our Project LiWo (LiFE for Women), proudly supported by the National Foundation for India (NFI) National Foundation for India . Thank you for believing in our vision and making this grassroots transformation possible! 🤝✨

Finally visited Dzükou!! We have been hearing a lot about the waste predicament and true to it, the natural beauty is becoming a waste haven.

We took time to understand the situation and hear from few individuals. Took a dip in their waste dump and thereafter, another evaluation at Viswema village.

A historic day for Forest Colony! 🌱🏡

Today, we were able to organise a crucial mandatory joint meeting bringing together representatives from every single household in the colony. The session focused on tackling our waste management issues and charting a clean, sustainable way forward.

This landmark initiative was conducted with the invaluable support and guidance of our Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) and Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF).

As the very first session of its kind in the colony, it marks the beginning of a brand-new chapter. We are hoping and optimistic for a positive, actionable change ahead! 💪✨

Empowering communities, one bar of soap at a time! 🧼✨

We recently hosted an incredible skill-building session with the wonderful women of Forest Colony, diving deep into the art of artisanal soap making.

Together, they successfully crafted 4 unique variants, showcasing amazing creativity and teamwork.The hands-on workshop was followed by an insightful, collaborative session with our resource persons, exploring sustainable practices and future opportunities.

Another Sunday for community, growth, and meaningful connection. 🤝❤️ It was a long day basking in the sun! 😅

Sitting down with our women beneficiaries in Naga Colony for our third session! ✨ This week, we focused heavily on building a healthier foundation together. We talked about sustainable menstrual health choices and ran a step-by-step handwash demo—proving that practice truly makes perfect. Afterwards, we provided everyone with essential health and sanitation kits. 📦🧴We also focused on waste reduction by serving fresh H2O in their new reusable water bottles alongside a warm lunch! 🍚💧

A meaningful session on Capacity Building, Leadership and Vision, focused on empowering youths to recognize their potential, strengthen their leadership skills, and develop a clear vision for creating positive change in Forest colony. The session encouraged participants to think beyond the present, take initiative, and lead with purpose, responsibility, and confidence.

Started the day with the Forest Colony community—households clearing their doorsteps while the youth and LiFE team tackled the main transit points. 🧹✨

Post that, we were overwhelmed by the w**ds. Monsoon season means w**d season! 🌧️🌾 Left with fewer hands but double the drive, we pushed on to clear the overgrown vegetation at the ZoLiFE garden, and our Diwas Hub.

Fewer hands, same hustle. Just trying to see our work through to the very end❣️
