Living for Environment An organisation set up to protect, conserve and preserve the environment: To act and create awareness before it’s too late. the rag pickers rights as humans.

An organisation started by like-minded youth who want to protect, conserve and preserve the environment: To act and create awareness before it’s too late. Our first initiative is to address the perils of waste in Nagaland. Not only the waste accumulated but also its disposal. We believe that waste, if utilized, can be an asset. What we are trying to achieve is not only assisting in cleaning the wa

ste but segregation of the waste. We want to be the platform that all groups or communities can take recourse to, for assistance in managing and disposing off their waste properly. We also want to address the informal sector i.e. We are open to collaboration of all kinds, with individual, group, community, or organisation.

This Sunday, we spent valuable time engaging and learning from the resilient women ragpickers of Naga Colony. 🌸

To make participation seamless, this first session was hosted on their day off, welcoming them along with their children. 🫂👶

Beyond the conversations, we were glad to provide refreshments, a reusable carry bag, and essential hygiene kits filled with soap, hand sanitizer, and detergent. A small step toward health, safety, and community empowerment. 💼🌱

Good things take time 🎬😉

The DiWas Hub officially launched back on May 7, 2016. To capture the journey behind it, we took the help of an external agency—and sieving through our countless media files alongside our unimaginable demands took some time!

But finally, we are thrilled to share the story with you all. From a dilapidated building that experts told us to completely demolish, to a fully functional community hub—this journey was pure grit, vision, and perfect timing. 🚀

Watch the Reel to see how it all unfolded and the incredible partnerships that powered this overhaul.

(And yes, we were so caught up in the launch excitement that we completely forgot to take an official group photo with our guests... so you’ll just have to settle for our chaotic, proud team-only picture at the very end! 🤫)

Thank you to everyone, especially .2.0.urban.nagaland, who made May 7th a historic day. Also thank you .

The real work will now happen on the ground!

10 years ago, we planted a seed called LiFE. On April 27th, we celebrated a decade of that growth by planting a garden called ZoLiFE 🌸

We spent our anniversary clearing, digging, and breathing life back into a neglected space at the Forest Office, Dimapur.

There was a mountain of work to do and the rain tried to slow us down, but after 10 years of hurdles, we know exactly how to persevere. 🌧️💪

Turning “neglected” into “nature”—that’s the LiFE way. 🌿✨

Tell me you are in Nagaland without telling me..🙄

We literally just finished the project. Not even 48 hours in, and it’s already been ‘baptised’ with to***co spit!

Good work vs. Old habits. Who wins?

Let’s talk about civic sense in the comments 👇🏽
