Literacy is more than the ability to read and write -it is the key that opens the doors to dignity, confidence, opportunity and a better future.

On this International Literacy Day, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation reaffirms its commitment to making education accessible to every child, especially those who are underprivileged and have been deprived of regular schooling.

Through Pratibha – our free educational initiative, we strive to give school drop-out and underprivileged children a second chance to learn, grow, dream and build a brighter tomorrow. 🌱📖

Because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, and every learner deserves the opportunity to shine.

🌟 Educate a child. Empower a life. Transform a community.

Service to Man is Service to God.

💙 Wishing everyone a very Happy International Literacy Day!

5th September also holds a special significance as the International Day of Charity - a day that reminds us of the joy of giving, sharing and caring for others. Coincidentally, the day was made even more special for the children of Pratibha, as it was also the birthday of one of our kind-hearted well-wishers, Smt. Kavita Kashliwal.

To celebrate her birthday in a meaningful way and to mark the spirit of the International Day of Charity, Smt. Kavita Kashliwal visited Pratibha and spent some precious moments with our children. She lovingly distributed food packets containing cake, chocolates, juice and other eatables, bringing beautiful smiles and happiness to their faces. 🎂🍫🧃❤️

More than the gifts, it was her thoughtfulness and her decision to share the joy of her special day with the children that touched our hearts.

The children, volunteers and the entire Team Vivekananda Welfare Foundation warmly wished Smt. Kavita Kashliwal a very Happy Birthday and expressed heartfelt gratitude for her wonderful gesture of love and generosity.

We pray that she is blessed with good health, happiness, peace and many more beautiful years ahead. May her kindness continue to inspire others to discover that the true joy of celebration becomes even greater when it is shared. 🙏🌸

Regards,
Team VWF 🙏

Teachers do much more than teach lessons from books. They inspire, encourage, guide and quietly shape the lives of those entrusted to their care. At Pratibha, this spirit of gratitude and respect came alive through a beautiful Teachers’ Day celebration organised by the children and young volunteers.

The celebration was a heartfelt expression of love, respect and gratitude towards all our teachers, mentors and volunteers - senior and junior alike - whose dedication, service and commitment continue to strengthen the journey of Pratibha.

As a small token of appreciation, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation presented a memento to each of them, symbolising our heartfelt gratitude for the time, care and countless efforts they continue to give for the growth and development of our children.

What made the celebration truly special was that it was planned, prepared and presented by the children and young volunteers themselves. Through dance, group performances, melodious songs, speeches and a lively skit, they created an atmosphere filled with joy, laughter and affection. Every performance was not merely entertainment- it was a beautiful way of saying “ ” to those who have been there to guide and inspire them.

The happiness on the faces of our children and volunteers as they received their small gifts was equally heartwarming. Sometimes, a simple gesture carries a very deep message: you are valued, your efforts matter, and your service is remembered.

The programme was beautifully hosted by Deep Kumar Jaiswal, with the enthusiastic support of Shakibul Hasaan and the team of young volunteers. The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks by Ms. Purnima Kanojia.

Light refreshments were also arranged for all the volunteers, adding to the warmth and fellowship of the occasion.

At Pratibha, we believe that education is not confined to classrooms. It is also about learning to respect, learning to serve, learning to express gratitude, and learning to give back.

This Teachers’ Day celebration was therefore more than a programme - it was a celebration of relationships, values, service and the beautiful bond between generations.

❤️ Our heartfelt gratitude to every teacher, mentor and volunteer who continues to walk alongside our children and make a difference.

A teacher’s influence cannot be measured by the lessons taught in a classroom—it lives on in the lives they inspire, the values they nurture and the generations they shape.

This Teachers’ Day, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF) took a small but heartfelt step to honour two such remarkable educators of Dimapur whose lives have been dedicated to the noble cause of education.

🌸
Teacher, Lewis Academy, Dimapur
Serving since 1993 – Present

🌸
Assistant Professor, Department of English
S.D. Jain Girls’ College, Dimapur, Nagaland
Teaching since 1997 – Present

As part of a new annual initiative, VWF has resolved to recognise two distinguished educators every year - one from the school level and one from the college level - for their exceptional dedication and contribution to society through education.

Instead of a formal ceremony, our Board Members chose to visit the educators at their residences, presenting them with a Certificate of Distinguished Service and a commemorative memento as a humble token of love, respect and gratitude.

The moments were deeply touching. Their emotions and happiness reminded us that sometimes, the greatest appreciation is simply being remembered. We were honoured to meet these inspiring educators, express our gratitude and seek their blessings.

🙏 To every teacher who has ever believed in a student, encouraged a dream, corrected a mistake or inspired someone to become better—this tribute is for you.

Teachers do not merely teach.
They build character.
They shape destinies.
They build the future.

With gratitude and respect,

“They alone live who live for others.”
— Swami Vivekananda

Charity is not merely about giving what we have; it is about sharing what we can, caring when we are needed, and standing beside someone when they feel alone.

The International Day of Charity, observed on 5th September, reminds us of the power of compassion, volunteerism and selfless service. The day also commemorates Mother Teresa, whose life became a lasting symbol of love and service to the poorest and most vulnerable.

At Vivekananda Welfare Foundation, we believe that true charity begins with humanity—with a willing heart, a helping hand and the courage to turn compassion into action.

A meal shared.
A hand extended.
A voice raised for someone in need.
A little time given without expectation.
A small act of kindness can become a ray of hope in someone's life.

On this International Day of Charity, let us move beyond simply feeling compassion and put compassion into action. Let us volunteer, give, support, uplift and inspire - because a better society is built when we choose to care for one another.

Let us make kindness a habit, service a responsibility, and humanity our common purpose.

❤️ Give. Help. Uplift. Inspire.
🌱 Small acts can create big change.

A teacher does much more than teach lessons from a book. A true teacher awakens curiosity, builds confidence, nurtures character, and inspires a child to believe in their own potential.

Behind every confident child, every dream that takes flight, and every meaningful achievement, there is often a teacher who patiently guided, encouraged, corrected and believed.

For children from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds, the role of a teacher becomes even more significant. Education can be the bridge between limitation and opportunity, and teachers are the ones who help children cross that bridge.

At Vivekananda Welfare Foundation, through our initiative – Empowering Through Education, we deeply value the contribution of every teacher and volunteer who dedicates their time, knowledge and compassion towards shaping young lives.

On this Teachers’ Day, we express our heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who continue to teach with wisdom, serve with compassion and inspire with purpose.

“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.”
— Swami Vivekananda

May every teacher continue to be a guiding light, turning knowledge into wisdom, dreams into possibilities, and children into responsible and compassionate human beings.

To all the wonderful teachers - Thank you for believing in the power of every child. ❤️

Happy Teachers’ Day! 🙏🌷📚✨

Shri Krishna is the God of the poor, the beggar, the sinner, the son, the father, the wife, and of everyone. He enters intimately into all our human relations and makes everything holy and in the end brings us to Salvation. He is the God, who hides himself from the philosopher and the learned, and reveals himself to the ignorant and the children. He is the God of faith and love and not of learning. With the Gopis, Love and God were the same thing — they knew Him to be Love Incarnate.

🦚✨ #শুভ_জন্মাষ্টমী ✨🦚

On the sacred occasion of #শ্রীকৃষ্ণ_জন্মাষ্টমী, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation extends its warmest wishes to everyone.

Lord Krishna’s life and teachings remind us that truth, compassion, courage and selfless action can illuminate even the darkest moments. His message inspires us to perform our duties with sincerity, stand for righteousness, and serve others with love and humility.

May the divine blessings of Lord Krishna fill every heart with peace, hope, wisdom and compassion, and inspire us to build a kinder, stronger and more harmonious society.

Let us celebrate Janmashtami not merely as a festival, but by embracing the values that Krishna taught us - Love, Kindness, Duty, Courage and Selfless Service.

🌸 May Lord Krishna guide us from darkness to light, from despair to hope, and from self-interest to service. 🌸

🏅

On National Sports Day, we pay tribute to the legendary Major Dhyan Chand, whose extraordinary dedication, discipline and passion made him an enduring symbol of sporting excellence and national pride.

At Vivekananda Welfare Foundation (VWF), we believe that sports are not merely about winning medals - they are about building character, confidence, discipline, teamwork and resilience. Every game teaches us to rise after a setback, respect our opponents, work together and keep moving forward.

Sports give our children and youth the courage to dream bigger, work harder and believe in themselves. A strong sporting culture is therefore not only about creating champions on the field, but also about nurturing responsible, confident and compassionate citizens who can contribute to a stronger society.

Let us encourage every child to play, participate and pursue their dreams, because every young person deserves an opportunity to discover their potential.

“Every move today creates a stronger tomorrow.”

🇮🇳 Vivekananda Welfare Foundation wishes everyone a very Happy National Sports Day!

Let us play with passion.
Perform with dedication.
Participate with pride.
Stay fit.
And inspire the nation.

🌸 - Celebrating the Bond of Love, Care & Togetherness 🌸

Raksha Bandhan is more than just the tying of a Rakhi around a wrist - it is a beautiful celebration of love, trust, affection, care and an everlasting bond of togetherness. The sacred thread reminds us that relationships become meaningful when we stand by one another, protect each other’s dignity, and offer strength in times of need.

On this auspicious occasion, let us celebrate not only the bond between brothers and sisters, but the larger spirit of humanity, compassion and mutual respect. In a world that often needs more kindness and understanding, may the spirit of Raksha Bandhan inspire us to care for one another, support those in need, and build a society where everyone feels valued, respected and protected.

May this Raksha Bandhan strengthen the bonds of love, affection and togetherness, and inspire us to uphold the timeless values of compassion, harmony, kindness and mutual respect.

Heartiest greetings and warm wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
May this beautiful festival bring happiness, peace, prosperity and enduring bonds of love into every heart and every home.
