WE DON’T WANT TO CLOSE PUKAAR — BUT WE MAY HAVE NO CHOICE. 💔
Writing this is probably one of the hardest things we have ever had to do.
For the past few years, we have kept Pukaar going with whatever little we had — taking care of the dogs, paying for their food, medicines, treatments, shelter and everything they need to survive.
But today, we are struggling to keep going.
Pukaar has pending veterinary bills and regular monthly expenses that we can no longer manage on our own.
We have no government funding.
No CSR funding.
No big sponsors.
We are completely dependent on individual donations.
To keep the shelter running, we need around ₹1–1.5 lakh every month.
But lately, we have been receiving less than ₹70,000.
We have tried to manage the gap for as long as we could — delaying bills, cutting down wherever possible and somehow making things work. But we have now reached a point where the numbers simply don’t add up anymore.
And behind these numbers are 50+ lives who have nowhere else to go.
This is why we are making one last appeal before taking the heartbreaking decision to shut Pukaar down completely.
We need your help to clear our pending bills and raise enough to keep the shelter running.
You don’t have to sponsor everything.
You don’t have to donate a large amount.
Even ₹100, ₹500 or ₹1,000 from people who can contribute can help us bridge this gap.
We don’t want the years of work, the lives saved, and the home we built for these animals to come to an end simply because we couldn’t afford to continue.
Please help us keep Pukaar alive.
