KHEL’s dedicated employees are on the front lines of our growing community. They know whether a child needs nutritional or educational aid, or has a sick parent, and so many other details of our kids’ lives. Some of our employees were educated by KHEL, before KHEL was even a nonprofit. Some of them have had their entire professional careers at LDA. Some of them were students at LDA. Some of them had parents who were students at LDA. There is a legacy of service and a commitment to this community that goes above and beyond the job they’re doing. And it’s a job that they’re doing extremely well. Thank you to all staff, volunteers, and board members for an amazing year!

During World Disability Week, LDA was graciously invited by Raphael to participate in their inclusive fair. Our students were given a valuable opportunity to interact and engage with the specially abled students of Raphael, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, understanding, and inclusivity.

The programme included meaningful activities, interactive games, and refreshments, making the experience both enriching and enjoyable. Our students returned with cherished memories and thoughtful gifts, further adding to the significance of the occasion.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Raphael for their warm hospitality and for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. We deeply appreciate their continued commitment to promoting inclusivity and shared learning experiences for all children.

A lively Chart Making Competition on the theme “Christmas & New Year” was held at LDA, where students from Classes 6 to 8 showcased their festive creativity through beautifully designed charts.

From the 6th class group, the winners were Kavya, Insha and Aasiba.
In the 7th class group, Faliha, Deepika, Simran and Aradhya were awarded.
From the 8th class group, the winners were Joya, Hemant and Saniya.

All winners received certificates for their creativity, and the event concluded with encouragement for every student to keep exploring their artistic talents.

We were recently delighted to welcome our friend Victor from Canada to LDA, where the children greeted him with a warm and traditional Garhwali song. He visited every classroom, interacted with the students with genuine affection, and inspired them to work hard, stay focused, and believe in their dreams. He also distributed gifts and chocolates, filling the children with excitement and happiness.

His kindness, encouragement, and friendly nature brought big smiles to every child’s face, making his visit a truly memorable and uplifting experience for everyone at LDA.

Students at LDA recently enjoyed a fun and interactive cone stacking activity that perfectly blended play with learning. As they worked to build the tallest pyramid using orange traffic cones, they strengthened motor skills, improved concentration, and developed spatial awareness.

The healthy competition, teamwork, and laughter made the activity even more special. It’s a wonderful reminder that learning becomes most effective when it’s hands-on, joyful, and engaging for every child.

Happy Children’s Day to all the wonderful children! In India, we celebrate on November 14 to honor the birth of our first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, who was dedicated to the welfare and education of children. At LDA, we mark this day as a special Sports Day, giving our students a chance to enjoy, engage, and showcase their talents in various games and activities. With exciting races, thrilling gymnastics performances, and fun games, the day was packed with laughter and celebration. We’re proud of our students’ spirit and enthusiasm! A General Meeting with parents was held at Lakshmi Devi Academy, followed by the Result Declaration for the half-yearly examinations. The meeting brought together teachers, parents, and management members to review students’ academic progress and discuss plans for further improvement. Winter school timings were also shared during the session.

After the meeting, teachers interacted with parents to discuss each student’s performance in detail, highlighting their strengths and areas that need more focus. Parents expressed their appreciation for the teachers’ efforts and the school’s continuous guidance in their children’s learning journey.

The day concluded on a positive and encouraging note, fostering mutual understanding and commitment to helping students achieve their best.
