🧠 Dementia Awareness & Youth Engagement – A Step Towards Inclusive Communities

The ARDSI Coimbatore Chapter, in partnership with PSGR Krishnammal College for Women , successfully organized an impactful session on “Dementia Awareness and Youth Engagement”, focusing on the vital role of Social Work.

Led by Ms. K. Pramiladevi, Psychiatric Social Worker from Vazhikatti Mental Health Centre, the session equipped students with:

✅ Deeper knowledge about dementia
✅ Strategies for empathetic communication
✅ Understanding community support networks
✅ Ethical and psychosocial insights into dementia care

🧠 Empowering Minds | Building Resilience Together
On July 19, ARDSI-Coimbatore Chapter partnered with Sambhav Foundation to conduct a meaningful session on Mental Health First Aid & Stress Management at the Sambhav Livelihood Centre in Coimbatore.

Participants explored practical strategies for emotional well-being, led by psychologist & healing practitioner Ms. Ragavi whose compassionate approach inspired deep engagement.

Join our “Enhance Wellbeing through VR Engagement” training session designed to support caregivers of persons with dementia.

*ARDSI-Coimbatore Chapter (ARDSI-CC)* is committed to improving the quality of life for people with dementia and their caregivers through non-pharmacological, accessible interventions like Virtual Reality (VR)

Virtual Reality (VR) is transforming dementia care by offering immersive experiences that stimulate memory, reduce anxiety, and enhance emotional wellbeing. This seminar introduces participants to how VR-based engagement can be used as a non-pharmacological intervention to support persons with dementia.
