At Yuva Vikash Kendra (YVK), we believe that true empowerment begins with creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Over the past few years, YVK has successfully organized numerous ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ ๐‚๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š ๐š๐ง๐ ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐š๐ฆ, enabling hundreds of rural women to acquire practical skills and establish small mushroom farms in their own homes. Today, many of these women are earning an additional income, strengthening their families' financial security, and moving towards self-reliance with dignity.

In a collective effort to promote environmental sustainability and community participation, Yuva Vikash Kendra (YVK), in collaboration with Vishwa Yuvak Kendra (VYK), New Delhi, successfully organised a ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐“๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž ๐š๐ญ ๐‘๐š๐ฃ๐ง๐š๐ ๐š๐ซ, ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐š, ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š.

The programme brought together enthusiastic villagers who actively participated in planting saplings and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the environment. The initiative aimed to inspire collective action towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

The plantation drive was led by Mr. Litan Das, Senior Member of Yuva Vikash Kendra. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of tree plantation in combating climate change, conserving biodiversity, and maintaining ecological balance. He also reminded participants that planting trees is only the beginningโ€”protecting and nurturing them is equally essential for creating a lasting environmental impact.

Nearly 250 students and teachers enthusiastically participated in the programme, reaffirming the importance of environmental conservation and collective action for a sustainable future.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri Nabendhu Chakraborty, Principal of the school, who welcomed the initiative and appreciated the organisers for inspiring young learners towards environmental responsibility.

Shri Debashis Majumder, President of Yuva Vikash Kendra, highlighted the global significance of environmental conservation and shared the message of this year's World Environment Day theme, encouraging students to become responsible stewards of nature.

Shri Anupam Debnath, Vice President of YVK, and Shri Shrikant Das, Forest Officer, Government of Tripura, motivated the students to protect and nurture every planted sapling, reminding them that planting a tree is just the beginningโ€”its care is the true commitment.

Yuva Vikash Kendra (YVK) successfully organised a ๐…๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ' ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐•๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ for 25 tribal farmers from Madhab Bari ADC Village, West Tripura, to Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Belbari, under the Integrated Fish Farming Project, supported by NABARD, Tripura Regional Office.

The exposure visit provided farmers with hands-on learning on Integrated Farming Systems, Natural Farming, Scientific Crop Management, Sustainable Agriculture, scientific fish farming and Eco-friendly Farming Practices through expert technical sessions conducted by Dr. Mandira Chakraborti and Dr. Nagaraju M.C. Farmers also explored KVK's demonstration units to witness innovative farming models and practical technologies that can improve productivity and strengthen climate resilience.

YVK President Shri Debashis Majumder accompanied the farmers and encouraged them to adopt scientific and sustainable farming practices to enhance livelihoods, food security, and environmental sustainability.

YVK sincerely thanks NABARD Tripura Regional Office and KVK Belbari for their continued support in empowering indigenous farming communities through knowledge, innovation, and sustainable livelihood development.
