Livnot U'Lehibanot

Livnot U'Lehibanot Livnot runs programs for young Jewish adults primarily from North America. Participants hike the land, exploring the connection between Judaism and nature.

Livnot U’Lehibanot creates transformative Israel experiences that bring Jewish heritage to life — through adventure, community, service, spirituality, and meaningful connections with Israelis. Livnot offers participants the opportunity to experience Israel differently by engaging young Jewish. Together the participants explore the options of a Jewish community while discovering Jewish Identity-bui

The program's volunteering includes excavating in the Old City of Tzfat, painting apartments of the elderly, visiting Ethiopian Absorption Centers, activities in the local Old Age home and more. In addition, there are varied workshops and learning sessions based on Jewish texts. Most participants in the program have minimal Jewish background.

Tisha B’Av is a day of remembering.

We remember the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash. We remember the pain, the loss, and the consequences of division among our people.

But remembrance is only part of the story.

Every generation is given the opportunity to rebuild.

At Livnot, we’ve spent four decades rebuilding communities across Israel, from restoring historic Tzfat in the 1980s to rebuilding communities in the Gaza border region and the North today. Yet the most important rebuilding isn’t only of homes or buildings. It’s rebuilding our sense of shared responsibility for one another. Our sense of brotherhood and sisterhood across denominations, across nations.

This Tisha B’Av, may we choose ahavat chinam over division, compassion over judgment, and unity over polarization.

Because the strongest foundation we can build is Am Yisrael standing together.

🧡 May we merit to build and be built.
