Settlers vandalized and tore apart greenhouses belonging to our partners at the Land and Farming Cooperative in Burin.
As the cooperative put it:
"This attack is part of the ongoing efforts to undermine farmers' livelihoods and their right to remain on their land. Despite these attacks, we will continue to support our farmers, rebuild what has been damaged, and stand firm. Our land is our identity, our livelihood, and our future."
We stand in solidarity with the residents of Burin as they face the destruction of their greenhouses, following the burning of their olive orchards (vid from the 3rd of June 2026) by settlers and alongside recurring reports of the army confiscating agricultural equipment, most notably tractors, from residents.
These incidents are part of decades of policies and violence aimed at undermining Palestinian agriculture, a process that has reached another peak in recent years, as Palestinians have lost access to vast areas of agricultural land across the West Bank and Gaza. Land has been taken over by settlements, fragmented by road construction, or razed by the state, leaving many Palestinians increasingly cut off from their livelihoods.
