A land where traditions keep the spirit alive. 🇱🇻❤️"
Save this before you visit Latvia.

Latvia may be a small country, but its cultural roots run deep. From the midsummer magic of Līgo and Jāņi — filled with flower crowns, bonfires, and folk songs — to the comforting smell of fresh rye bread on the table, Latvian traditions have been passed down for generations and are still very much alive today. Add in vibrant folk dances, handmade textiles, candlelit Christmases, and a profound respect for nature, and you start to understand what makes Latvian identity so unique. Language, songs, and traditions all tie together to keep this nation's spirit burning bright. 🇱🇻❤️ Which Latvian tradition speaks to you the most? Save this post and share it with someone who needs to see it!"

🇱🇻🇪🇪🇱🇹 – a human chain of 2 million people stretching from Tallinn, through Riga, to Vilnius. This non-violent protest on 23 August 1989 captured the world's attention as the three Baltic nations clearly expressed their will for freedom and independence, and declared that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, signed exactly 50 years earlier, was a crime committed by totalitarian regimes.

Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, we remain united to this day through our actions, our thoughts, and our unwavering support for Ukraine.

👓 Your old glasses could help someone see a brighter future. 💚

Have a pair of spectacles sitting in a drawer that you no longer use? We’re collecting unwanted and old glasses at all People First Credit Union branches in support of Lions Club Recycle for Sight.

Through the programme, Lions Clubs collect and recycle used spectacles, which are sorted, graded and distributed to communities around the world where access to glasses is limited.

For someone who struggles to see clearly, a pair of donated glasses can mean better education, greater independence and more opportunities to work and thrive. 🌍❤️

So, before you clear out that drawer, give your old glasses a new purpose.

📍 Drop your unwanted spectacles into any of our branches.

Every pair can make a difference. 👓✨
