There’s exciting news about a new documentary coming soon. Shaping the Future will be on Virgin Media at 12pm on Saturday, 29 August, highlighting pre-school education in Ireland.

It celebrates the remarkable milestone of over one million children who have benefited from the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme, something the Department is very proud of for its positive impact on young children and their families.

The film also shines a light on the dedication of early years educators and providers, and the crucial role they play in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing, as well as strengthening families and communities.

The redesigned AIM Level 7 confirmation form will be available on the Early Years Hive from Tuesday 18 August 2026.

Service providers who have submitted an AIM Level 4 application and indicated that they wish to avail of AIM Level 7 supports for the 2026/2027 programme call, and who have received their notification for the preliminary support award, must submit this confirmation form to confirm that they still wish to receive AIM Level 7 supports.

Where a child has been awarded an AIM Level 7 support level and an active ECCE and NCS registration is identified, support will be awarded automatically following the submission of the AIM Level 7 confirmation form. Therefore, if a service provider does not require all supports awarded to a child, a request must be submitted on the Early Years Hive advising of this. For example, where a child does not require support during NCS hours."

Please reach out should you have any questions, or should you encounter any difficulties with this updated process.
