Newport CFR Newport Community First Responders For those people every minute counts, their best chance of survival is defibrillation within the first 10 minutes.

The Newport Cardiac First Responders are the Community First Responder Group in Newport Co Tipperary and were set up specifically for assisting people living in rural areas who suffer Cardiac Arrest. We are a group of volunteers, dispatched by the 999/112 Emergency Ambulance Service and are “on call 24/7” to respond to Breathing Difficulty and Cardiac Emergencies in their Communities. The Group tr

aining is carried out by PHECC CFR Instructors and the work is carried out by the volunteers who give up their own time to be “on call”.

Funding will expand training, upgrade vital equipment, and enhance volunteer capacity, directly improving community safety and saving lives.

The AIB Community €1 Million Fund enables customers, the public and our employees to support the local charities that matter most to them, within their region. The Fund supports charities across six regions in Ireland, Northern Ireland & Great Britain.

🚨 Newport Needs You 🚨

This is something that affects every single person in our community.

Our Newport Fire Station is at risk of closing in 2026 — and the reality is simple…
👉 If we don’t act now, we could lose it.

This isn’t just a building — it’s a lifeline.
It’s the people who turn up when alarms go off, when accidents happen, when homes and lives are at risk.

💬 The message is clear:
Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service NEEDS to recruit from our community.

Now is the time to stand up.

Public Meeting – Community Hall
26th April 2026
6:00 PM

➡️ Everyone is welcome
➡️ Female applicants especially encouraged
➡️ Come along, learn what’s involved, and see how you can help

This is about protecting Newport — our families, our homes, our future.

If you’ve ever thought about giving something back…
this is your chance.

Let’s get behind this and show what Newport is all about.

Spread the word. Bring someone with you. Be there.
