🌍 𝑨𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒊𝒏 𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒌!🥁⚽🎉

We’re delighted to support this fantastic community event again this year alongside Carrigtwohill Community Council and local partners 💚

The weekend will kick off on Friday with a colourful flag parade and live performances from the Burundi drummers, followed by the much-loved football tournament later that evening. Celebrations will continue on Saturday with Community Night, food and refreshments, and a special conversation on migration and understanding.

Africa Day always brings a lovely community spirit to Carrigtwohill, and this year’s celebrations promise to be another fantastic weekend for everyone.

🌿 National Biodiversity Week is taking place this week, and SECAD is delighted to be part of it with two free community events celebrating nature, local biodiversity and the outdoors. 🌱

Join us to explore the rich biodiversity of East Cork through guided walks that will help you discover native plants and trees, local folklore, and ways you can get involved in Citizen Science projects in your own community.

👣 Whether you enjoy nature, walking, learning something new, or simply getting outdoors for an hour – everyone is very welcome to join us.
