Nice to have a little break after all the hard work having our Exhibition here in Kilkenny! Now back to learning and creating more beautiful work for next year!!

So all preparations behind the scenes here getting ready to start our new Patchwork Year 🧵 🪡

Our first meeting will take place on Saturday the 12th of September in the Irish Wheelchair Association, College Rd here in Kilkenny 10am to 12.30pm. With classes and or bring your own project to work on in the afternoon.

Visitors are always welcome! You can attend two meetings before membership is required, we’d love to see you.

Door fee applies and will include tea /coffee and biscuits🫖☕️

Congratulations to Susan Lanigan who won the visitors choice in our Exhibition - well deserved Susan those Donkeys were fabulous!!

Well thats a wrap on our 2026 Exhibition in Kilkenny!! What an amazing display of work. Thanks to all our visitors and your beautiful words of commendation, it’s always wonderful to hear your thoughts. We are so glad you enjoyed it so much. It’s just fabulous to have visitors not only from our lovely Kilkenny but from all around the world. From Texas to Pittsburgh, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and so many more countries. Thanks too to Amy in Texas who makes the annual visit and brought beautiful mug rugs for those invigilating, such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We look forward to welcoming all who said they will join in September to start their journey of Patchwork and Quilting. If you are thinking about joining, you’d be more than welcome and you’d get lots of help getting started.

Thanks to all who invigilated over the 10 days of the Exhibition, your time is much appreciated.

Well done to all on the committee for all the work and preparation and dismantling especially to Susan and her family, they did amazing work. We’ll put up some more photos as we get them.

We had a lovely visit from the DCCI team yesterday to our Exhibition in The Chapter Room of St. Mary’s Cathedral and we were delight to show them all the work that has been done by our busy members of our branch of the Irish Patchwork Society in the South Midlands, Kilkenny. They had so many commendations to make about all your work, you should be very proud ladies and gents in our branch, well done to all.
