Ever wondered how you could help restore the peatlands right on our doorstep?

Join us on Saturday 12th September for Peatlands in Practice: A hands-on Peatland Restoration workshop that will explore using biochar and sheep’s wool, two local, low impact and less conventional materials for peatland restoration.

No experience needed. We’ll spend the morning together at the centre, then head outdoors to work the land with guidance from our experienced facilitators.

This is about more than restoration. It’s about building a stronger connection between people and the land we share.

Free to attend, with tools, materials and a healthy lunch provided. 10am to 4.30pm. Places can be booked via the “Full Listings” link in our bio.

Peatlands in Practice is supported by the National Parks and Wildlife Service Ireland and The Heritage Council.

The music never really stopped at Relindle

From the first night in the right through the weekend to the last Lasraí concert in the , the festival was alive with the sounds of sessions and music, and the craic was mighty. Thank you to all of the musicians and performers who took part in Rekindle. This reel is just a sample of the weekend and doesn’t begin to do the energy felt throughout Lisdoonvarna, Common Knowledge and Ennistymon justice.

Rekindle 2026 was supported by Clare Integration Team and in collaboration with , and we are so thankful for our continued support for this festival

From now until the end of the year, we’ve got a great range of Free Traditional Skills Training Days for community groups across Clare. Dry stone walling, hedge laying, lime plastering and pointing, building a bench, habitat structures, and willow garden structures: there’s a skill in there for whatever your community space needs.

Every session is hands-on and achievable, and no experience is needed. You’ll leave with something practical you can put to use straight away to benefit your local community.

Fully funded through LEADER and delivered by Common Knowledge on behalf of Clare Local Development Co. No cost to take part.

Register your place, via the “Free Training Days for Clare Communities” link in our bio
