Calling all little witches, wizards, ghosts and ghouls! Come along to our cinema event in your best Halloween fancy dress and add a little extra magic to the occasion!

So if your Trick or Treaters want to start their Halloween celebrations early, they can join us for our special Halloween Cinema Event on Sunday 31st October Hotel Transylvania at Kilmuckridge Memorial Hall on Saturday, 31st October at 3pm!.

We can’t wait to see all your spooky, silly and creative costumes and we will have a goodie bag surprise for the best costume!

It wouldn’t be Christmas in Kilmuckridge without our annual pantomime! ❤️

Our local panto is a much-loved community tradition, bringing families, friends and generations together for an evening of laughter, fun and a little bit of Christmas magic. With memorable characters, plenty of panto mischief and lots of opportunities to join in, this promises to be a great night out for all the family!

🎄 CHRISTMAS MOVIES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS 🎬

Christmas is coming, and we have a great festive treat planned for school children in the build-up to Christmas at the KMH, Kilmuckridge!

Bring your class along for a special screening of The Grinch and get everyone into the Christmas spirit. There’ll be festive fun, a big-screen cinema experience and a tuck shop available for those all-important movie treats!

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Billy McCreary, a long-standing and dedicated member of the KMH Committee.

Billy was someone we really relied on, especially during our recent renovations as Billy knew where every switch, light, and everything thing else was, how they worked and where they were connected not an easy task but Billy made it look easy.

He was always generous with his time and you always knew where to find Billy when there was an event on in the KMH because he was there morning noon, and night, making sure everyone and everything was right for each show or group coming in and he welcomed everyone with warmth and good humour.

We extend our sincere sympathies to Ann, his sons Kevin, Brendan, Richard and Niall, and to all his family and friends at this very sad time.

Billy will be remembered with great fondness by all of us who had the pleasure of working alongside him and will be missed as a long-standing member of the KMH Committee

May he rest in peace.

We’ve uncovered this fantastic old newspaper article celebrating the pioneering village of Kilmuckridge and its efforts to bring cinema to the community from way back when! 🎬

The article describes Kilmuckridge as a village of just around 200 people, yet local farmers, businesspeople, teachers and others came together to create their own People’s Cinema, transforming an old store into a cinema and concert hall. 🍿🎞️ And we love that this article has been found in the week we launched the new Cinema Club in the KMH!
