For some men, pain in their joints, reduced mobility, or stiffness are simply brushed off as ‘inevitable signs of ageing’ or overexertion at the gym. But worrying research (and anecdotal evidence) suggests that many men tend to delay seeing a doctor until the pain becomes debilitating, by which point joint damage may already be significant.
This can reduce the effectiveness of treatment options and increase the risk of complications. But why does this attitude exist in the first place?
