We are looking forward to Flourish Social Prescribing Mayo today in our Civic Centre

After a well deserved summer break the wonderful Music Circles with John and Isabela are returning in September. The first Music Circle of the Autumn will take place in Crossmolina Enterprise Centre.

As always everyone is welcome to join and no experience is necessary. You are welcome to share a poem, a story, a song, or a dance. You are also very welcome to sit back and take in the experience as it unfolds.

The Crossmolina Music Circle begins at 3pm until 4.30pm and the dates for Autumn / Winter are;

Are you ready to unleash your creativity, meet new people and have a bit of fun?
Crossmolina Community Council is delighted to offer encouraging and accessible Daytime Art Classes.

Whether you’ve never held a paintbrush or you used to sketch every day, this class is for you. This is a no-pressure, it’s a welcoming space where the focus is on enjoyment, expression and connection.

• No Experience Needed: Seriously! We will cover the very basics and work at a comfortable pace. The only requirement is a willingness to try.
• Wonderful Leader: Our class will be led by an experienced and enthusiastic leader who believes everyone has an artist inside them. She is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where you can learn new techniques, discover different mediums and feel proud of your creations.
• Focus on Fun & Friendship: This is more than just an art lesson—it's a social occasion! Come for the painting, stay for the chat, the tea and the chance to connect with your neighbours.
• Learn a Variety of Skills: We'll explore exciting projects using a range of materials, you might surprise yourself with what you can create!

We are thrilled to have received funding from Mayo Arts Service, Mayo County Council to hold another Culture Night in Crossmolina Civic Centre. Last year's Culture Night was a great success and with an art perspective this year there will be an interesting dimension to experience on Friday 18th September 2026. Save the date and come along and enjoy the Art, Music, Dance and Boxty from our local region. More details to follow, all welcome to this free event.

Heritage Week

🎶Our first Music Monday got off to a great start. Join us again on Monday the 17th and the remaining Mondays in August. The sessions will take place in the Civic Centre and will start at 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Come along and bring your friends and visitors as it will be a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity to experience our local culture live. Refreshments are served. A big Thank You to the musicians 🎶

We are so saddened say goodbye to our dear work colleague Ann-Marie Gilvarry who died on 12th August 2026. We will miss her cheerful, helpful and bubbly presence in the office and at the Day Centre activities. She was kind, thoughtful, sociable and most of all our friend. Looking back on many wonderful photos reminds us of how precious Ann-Marie's time was with us and how much she will be missed. We extend our sincere condolences to Ann-Marie's family and many, many friends. May Ann-Marie's gentle soul Rest In Peace.
