It was ghosts and Ghouls and things that go bang in the night recently for Beavers Scouts and their Leaders in the Den and I hope they all slept well afterwards! Huge thankyou to all the Leaders for their imagination and fun. Perhaps we should have a Leaders event!

Well done to all the Scouts that turned up for the weekend in Tullamore Den this weekend. Lots of forest activities, shelter building, making cheese & ham sandwiches which went down a storm, learning to use GPS, and learning how to put up hammocks. Despite the weather they were well wrapped up and enjoyed the hiking. Air activities and flying drones and indoor archery and finishing off with plotting aircraft routes, bearings and journey times from airports. Special welcome to Maria who belongs to a scout group in Spain and was presented with a 2nd Westmeath Neckerchief. Huge thankyou to Peter, Rafal, Conor and Sean D. for all your hard work on the weekend.

Great turnout for Scouts last night in the Den with their Pioneering skills stage 3 going strong with assessment of their scouts knots and lashings. All led by the Patrol Leaders them selves. Bit of fun too with a chanting game that Rafal introduced on camp. Hard to follow but great fun. Thanks to Conor, Jack, Rafal, Peter, Richard, Sean D and Zoe for all your efforts.
