The final competition block of the VI CONTINENTAL BALLET & DANCE ART OLYMPIAD GRAND FINALS.

During this final competition session, the International Jury will also determine the strongest choreographies and performers who will officially qualify for the GRAND GALA OF CONTINENTAL WINNERS according to the highest scoring results and ranking points of the Olympiad system.

The VI CONTINENTAL BALLET & DANCE ART OLYMPIAD GRAND FINALS begins in Thessaloniki.

DAY 1 includes three official competition blocks:

Classical Dance Disciplines

12:00 — II BLOCK
Ballet and Character Classical Dance Disciplines

15:00 — III BLOCK
Contemporary Modern Dance Disciplines / Art Stage

Strong schools, choreographers and dancers from different countries of Europe will meet on one international stage.

At the end of each competition block, according to the official ranking system and highest scoring results of the International Jury, several of the strongest choreographies and performers will receive official invitations to the GRAND GALA OF CONTINENTAL WINNERS, where the best of the best will compete for the main awards of the Continental Finals.

International master-classes, laboratories, discussions and meetings with jury members and pedagogues from Greece, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Russia.

✨ Master-classes will take place directly on the professional theatre stage of Kolosseon Theatre.

✨ Professional photo and video shooting of the master-classes will also be organized.

✨ Participants will have a unique opportunity not only to experience the artistic vision and methods of international masters from different countries, but also to receive professional photos and videos from the theatre stage.

VESELA VASILEVA / Bulgaria

Prima ballerina, pedagogue and Artistic Director of the Ballet of the State Opera Ruse.

Born in Ruse, Bulgaria, Vesela Vasileva began her ballet education in her hometown and later graduated from the National School of Music and Dance in Sofia. During her studies, she already performed in productions and concerts of the Sofia Opera and Ballet.

Since 2003, she has been a leading ballerina of the State Opera Ruse, performing the principal roles from the classical ballet repertoire, including:

• Swan Lake
• Sleeping Beauty
• The Nutcracker
• Don Quixote
• Giselle
• Romeo and Juliet
• Apollon Musagète
• Seasons
• Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

In 2016, she received the prestigious “Crystal Lyre” Award from the Union of Bulgarian Music and Dance Artists for her performances as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and Kitri in Don Quixote.

Vesela Vasileva has performed internationally in gala productions and tours across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, including Dubai, Malta, Korea, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, Greece, Lithuania and Latvia.

She also guest-performs with ballet companies in Varna, Burgas and Stara Zagora.

Since 2019, she has served as Artistic Director of the Ballet of the State Opera Ruse, creating choreographies for concerts, operas, operettas and children’s musical productions.

Principal Dancer and Ballet Director of the National Theatre in Belgrade

He completed his ballet education in 2001 at the Ballet School in Novi Sad, studying under Vera Fele and Dragan Jerinkić. Immediately upon graduation, he joined the Ballet of the Serbian National Theatre, where he was soon promoted to Soloist.

In 2005, he became a member of the Ballet of the National Theatre in Belgrade, where he established himself as a leading principal artist and later assumed the position of Ballet Director.

KONSTANTIN KOSTYUKOV

Former Principal Dancer of the National Theatre Ballet in Belgrade
Former Ballet Director of the National Theatre in Belgrade

Born in Kyiv into a family of Russian ballet artists from Novosibirsk, Konstantin Kostyukov was raised within the traditions of the Russian ballet school.

We are honored to welcome Konstantin Kostyukov as a member of the International Jury of the VI Continental Ballet & Dance Art Olympiad – Grand Finals 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

As a Principal Dancer and later Ballet Director of the National Theatre in Belgrade, he became one of the significant artistic figures of the Balkan ballet scene.

As a choreographer, he created productions including:
• Romeo & Juliet
• Nutcracker
• Aida
• The Phantom of the Opera
• Come Down to Earth

His productions have been presented in Belgrade, Timișoara, Sarajevo, Banja Luka and other international theatre stages.

In June 2024, his new production of Swan Lake premiered at the National Opera of Panama. He is currently continuing his collaboration with the theatre in Panama, preparing the production for the official repertoire and season program.

He is also currently working on the production of Zorba the Greek at the National Theatre in Belgrade, while collaborating with European ballet productions and theatres in Germany.

We are honored to welcome Claudia Sovre as a member of the International Jury of the VI Continental Ballet & Dance Art Olympiad – Grand Finals 2026 in Thessaloniki.

One of the respected representatives of the Slovenian ballet scene, Claudia Sovre has many years of artistic, pedagogical and production experience in leading ballet institutions of Slovenia and Croatia.

During her professional career, she performed with SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana and HNK Zagreb, collaborating in numerous ballet productions, gala performances and international artistic projects.

For many years she worked as Assistant Choreographer, Ballet Coordinator, Ballet Producer and Assistant to the Artistic Directors of Ballet, participating in the realization of ballet productions, operas and international dance events.

Her international collaborations include projects with the Royal Opera House Muscat, ballet competitions and educational dance institutions in Europe and the Middle East.

Claudia Sovre also works internationally as a Ballet Pedagogue, Jury President, Guest Teacher and Choreographer.

Between 2020–2024 she was appointed by the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia as a member of the Expert Commission for Performing Arts for the prestigious Prešeren Awards — the highest national recognitions in Slovenian culture.

Today she serves as President of the Slovenian Association for the Development of Ballet and Dance Art (SABD), actively contributing to the development of ballet education, choreography and dance culture internationally.

THEMISTOKLIS PAVLIS (Greece)

We are honored to welcome Themistoklis Pavlis as a member of the International Jury of the VI Continental Ballet & Dance Art Olympiad – Grand Finals 2026 in Thessaloniki.

A graduate of the Greek National Opera Professional Dance School in Athens, he received an international scholarship for studies in Montpellier, France, from former Paris Opera principal dancer Rudy Bryans.

As a professional dancer, he has performed with the Greek National Opera, LOAD Contemporary Dance Company and Béjart Ballet Lausanne, appearing in major productions including Billy Elliot the Musical, Sweet Charity and The Thread by Russell Maliphant.

As Movement Director and choreographic collaborator, he has worked on productions including Nabucco, The Barber of Seville, Carnival of Venice and Tartuffe, collaborating with the Greek National Opera and leading theatrical institutions.

He currently teaches at the Greek State School of Dance and continues his artistic and cultural work internationally.

Since 2024, he has served as Head of Culture of the Municipality of Kassandra and Artistic Director of the International Kassandra Festival.
