🌱 GENEforYW - A New Erasmus+ Journey Begins!

🇪🇺✨ We are excited to announce the beginning of GENEforYW - Generation Empowerment through Non-formal Education for Youth Work!

Through GENEforYW, youth workers from across Europe will come together to strengthen their skills, exchange experiences and explore how social entrepreneurship and non-formal education can become powerful tools for youth empowerment and social inclusion.

Our focus is especially on supporting young people who face barriers and fewer opportunities, including refugees, migrants and asylum seekers, by equipping youth workers with practical methodologies, mentoring approaches and innovative tools that they can bring back to their communities.

🤝 The project brings together organisations from Greece, Estonia, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Portugal and Türkiye, with INNOVIERA 🇬🇷 as the coordinating organisation.

At the heart of the project will be an international Professional Development Activity in Thessaloniki 🇬🇷, combining interactive workshops, experiential learning, simulations, exchange of good practices and collaborative activities. Together, participants will also contribute to the creation of a practical Toolkit for youth workers, helping transfer the knowledge and methods developed through GENEforYW to youth organisations and communities across Europe.

🎭 Beyond Words; The Art of Critical Thinking!
Closing the curtain (for now)!

Our Youth Exchange project reached to its end!
But, we are so happy that we met young people from Greece, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Türkiye and Estonia who came together last April in Thessaloniki, and left with a lot more than they arrived with: confidence, sharper arguments, and a genuine sense of what it means to disagree well.

The heart of the project was TEATER, a simulation game we developed together, where debate meets theatre. Participants didn't just state their opinions, but they staged them, tested them and revised them in front of an audience of their peers.

We're sharing our one-page guide to TEATER below 👇 so any youth worker, teacher or facilitator can pick it up and run it with their own group. The game, and the partner organisations behind it, are staying active well beyond this exchange.

Over the past months, the Erasmus+ project has explored what it really means to change professional direction after 45, not only the new skills or the updated CV, but also the uncertainty, identity shifts, resilience and courage that come with starting a new chapter.

Together with our partners, and .cloud ,we listened, researched, exchanged experiences and created practical resources designed to help adults 45+ navigate career transitions with greater confidence, clarity and purpose.

As the project reaches its end, one message remains:

✨ Changing direction doesn’t mean starting over. You take your experience with you.

🧭 The resources remain available for adult learners, educators, career counsellors and anyone standing at their own professional crossroads.

After an inspiring and productive season filled with projects, collaborations, research and learning, it's time for our team to recharge.

🤖 AI in Education is not just about technology, it is about people!

Last week, had the pleasure of hosting a three-day Erasmus+ training course in Thessaloniki, Greece, welcoming three dedicated teachers from the Gymnasio–Lykeio of Kato Pafos, Cyprus. Together, we explored how Artificial Intelligence can be integrated into education while safeguarding what matters most: learning, wellbeing, inclusion and meaningful human relationships.

Led by our trainer Eirini Kampa-Maltezopoulou , the programme combined interactive discussions, collaborative activities, practical case studies and action planning around:
🔹 AI fundamentals and educational applications
🔹 Ethical and responsible AI use in schools
🔹 Assessment in the age of generative AI
🔹 Student wellbeing and belonging
🔹 The evolving role of educators in an AI-enabled world
🔹 Practical strategies for implementing AI thoughtfully in everyday teaching

The experience extended beyond the classroom, giving participants the opportunity to discover the rich culture and hospitality of while building lasting professional connections.

A sincere thank you to the teachers from Gymnasio–Lykeio of Kato Pafos, Cyprus, for their active participation, insightful contributions and commitment to shaping the future of education. We also extend our appreciation to Eirini for facilitating an engaging, thought-provoking and inspiring learning experience.
