The EMANES Annual Conference 2025, held at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, Barcelona – 10–12 December 2025, officially opens today under the theme:

Prof. Rym Ayadi, President of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association - EMEA and Director of the EU-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies-EMANES, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of co-creating regenerative pathways for resilient and inclusive progress across our shared regions.
Welcome remarks are also delivered by
• Garyfallia (Fay) Selimi Selimi - Deputy Director, Circular Economy & Climate Institute of the EPLO European Public Law Organization; EMEA Expert
• Prof. Martin Lukac, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague; University of Reading, and Coordinator of the ReForest project.
Both also serve as co-chairs of the Conference.
Over three days, 20 academic papers will be presented, alongside special and policy sessions showcasing how regenerative approaches can strengthen sustainability, economic transformation, and wellbeing in the Mediterranean and Africa.
