Isn't that sense of achievement just the most incredible feeling? The best kind is the one you didn't think you could do and then you completely surprise yourself!

What makes this an anxiety reducing workshop?

Togetherness.
They were all in the same boat.
Learning something new.
A skill. A shared experience together.

It didn't matter that some had experience and some didn't, at the end of this they all produced SOMETHING, and that is an amazing achievement they were all so proud of and shared with each other.

Even though this workshop may have passed. The shared moments they had will last.

It's all about friendships, community- connection

Giving a resident purpose through helping others is an amazing gift to give as a care home. Makes them feel needed and listened to.

My wellbeing activities for care homes offer that space; where others can help or repeat instructions or comment on the brilliant fabric they've chosen.
I find it gives the residents something to chat about, reminisce on and help each other out along the way. You'd be surprised how much community spirit can be made just from sitting around a table crafting something new!

🤔What else do you do while the kids are eating!

Work during summer holidays for me needs to fit into a strict time schedule! 🤣😬

Thought I'd post a little reel while I had 5 mins..
This reel had
✨️ Zero planning
✨️ Was totally on the fly
✨️ A genuine peek into my life at 5pm🤣

Using up the scraps was always something I wanted to do... so I kept saving them...

One random day I thought of using them as little patch work pieces for a workshop. That's when the canvas, memory box and vase workshops were born!

A clever way of using up individual pieces of a fabric once loved, giving these residents access to so many different textures, colours and patterns!
