Supporting People with Dementia and their carers - EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY morning at the Fairland Church Centre, Wymondham, from 10am.

We offer in Cafe style, a warm friendly environment for people with Dementia & their carers and families. Our main service on a Monday and Friday morning at the Pabulum Café, in Wymondham Fairland Church Centre every Friday, from 10am - the Carers move next door to the Church Hall at 11 for support and information until 12, while the Cared For are supported by volunteers, in a variety of activities (see our Photo Albums!!), Our numbers are reduced at this time due to the COVID restrictions and we are only allowed to meet in a group of 15 so our visits are booked by calling 07391659057. When not restricted by COVID 19 the 3rd week of each month is different: Tuesday from 1.30 is the Pabulum Picture Palace (Blue-Ray films of Members' choice shown full-screen with ice-creams & beverages, £1 per head), and on the Third Fridays, ‘The Singing Café’ which finishes at 12.00 (the URC members then provide a buffet lunch in the hall next door for anyone in the community). Favourite & remembered songs played by high quality players, to sing along to (& even dance, if we have space!) At this time these special days are suspended but we will get back to offering this service when possible. What a Monday! We were so lucky to be entertained by the super talented Nick Stephenson Music, everyone had such a fantastic time! Thank you Nick, we hope to welcome you back again soon!

What a lovely day we had at Gressenhall rural life museum and workhouse. The weather was perfect, and the staff and volunteers made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed exploring the Museum of Rural Life, meeting the farm animals and taking a wonderful tour of the farm on a tractor and trailer. There was plenty to see, do and remember. A huge thank you to everyone at Gressenhall who helped make our day so enjoyable and memorable.

Save the date: Wymondham Community Fundraiser
If you're free on Saturday 19th September, drop by the Fairland United Reformed Church (the one on the hill near Myhills) between 10am and 2pm. We're hosting a community fundraiser to support the church building repairs. Plenty to browse through on the day.
Here’s an idea of what we’ll have:

• Books & puzzles
• Lots of delicious cakes
• Bric-a-brac
• Tombola and more

A wonderful day at Wymondham Garden Centre Summer Fayre. Thanks to the garden centre staff for making everyone feel welcome we really appreciate all the work that goes in to making the fayre a success. Also thanks to our volunteers, craft makers, donaters and supporters for their time and effort, raising money to help out group continue to thrive.

Next Saturday, our Summer Fayre arrives at Wymondham Garden Centre! ☀️

We’ll be welcoming over 25 stall holders, with plenty of unique gifts and homewares to discover, delicious food & drink and a charity raffle. 🛍️

Help! We couldn't stop singing this morning at our Beatles Extravaganza! A huge thank you to the fabulous MaryLou and Carl, who had us all Come Together for a morning that was simply Magical Mystery Tour. Their music took us Here, There and Everywhere, bringing back so many happy memories. There was plenty of laughter, a little dancing, and lots of people humming along to favourites that Can't Buy Me Love. With A Little Help from My Friends, everyone joined in, and by the end there wasn't a Paperback Writer in sight who wasn't tapping their feet! The atmosphere was Getting Better with every song, and it was lovely to see so many smiling faces proving that All You Need Is Love. We certainly won't Let It Be too long before we invite MaryLou and Carl back for another visit.

Always a highlight in our calendar - Vintage Car Day! Massive thank you to those who bought along their fabulous cars, and took our members out for a ride around town! It was lovely to see so many smiles and to hear all the conversations and memories!
