Worstead Festival

Worstead Festival Norfolk’s annual biggest village festival showcasing live music, thrilling entertainment, delicious food and drink and more!
(4)

The Festival takes place every year on the last weekend of July. It was originally started to raise money for repairs to St Mary's church over 60 years ago. Each year the village transforms into a vibrant event for all the family, with attractions for all ages; which include local arts and crafts, artisan local crafts stalls, food and chef demonstrations and music and entertainment celebrating rur

al life. Our Mission: To support local organisations and groups for all ages and abilities through giving grants towards their capital projects, from money raised through our annual two day festival.

We've let the bone out of the bag! These are the pet businesses attending Norfolk's biggest village festival on the last weekend of July, so you and your dog can get excited about delicious treats and yummy new meals.

Don't forget to give the businesses a follow to see what they're bringing to the festival, and share this with your friends - or should we say fur-riends? 🐾 🦴

Our brilliant team of trustees, who have been essential assets in getting the festival to where it is today.

This photo was taken at Worstead Church where our story began 60 years ago this summer, in 1966 when the church roof needed repairing. Funds were needed to do this, as it was quite expensive, so a swear jar was set up in the households in Worstead as a money pot! With this, they repaired the roof and put on the first village festival.

An event which 19 years later on the 19th July 1985, the Queen's Mother visited! Arriving by royal helicopter from Sandringham, her primary mission was to officially open the newly built village hall, which was later named the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Her visit remains our most famous milestone in the festival's history.

The business event checklist you didn't know you needed for the Worstead Festival, and to get this sorted NOW not the week before:

❗️Make a QR code to take customers to your website, social media or lead form. You can make these on Canva but beware, most 'free' QR code generation websites limit you to 10 or 20 scans, then it stops working until you pay to subscribe.

❗️Have you got enough business cards? Display these everywhere on your table, or elsewhere on your pitch, and have them in customer's goodie bags (if applicable). Don't be that business that creates barriers to entry straight away for new customers to support you online.

❗️Vodafone is the best option on the field for good coverage for SUM UP machines. If you don’t have Vodafone already, you can buy a cheap package

❗️ If you have Vodafone already, don’t use the wifi available because Vodafone is better

❗️Battery packs with USB-C and lightning cables - you never know if another stallholder needs help, because they don't have the right lead for their device.

Have we missed anything that you would recommend, when you've been here before?

PS. Today is the 29th May and from today, it is 56 days until the first day of the Worstead Festival. There will be businesses on our 115 pitches, and about 10,000 visitors. With this huge potential for some networking with the other businesses in attendance, but also meeting so many customers - new and existing ones, we implore every business to action this.

Toll Barn Veterinary Centre Limited based just outside North Walsham is a family-run business that has been running for 12 years. Well loved by the local community, they care for pets and other exotic creatures.
