🐝🌍 Happy World Bee Day! 🌍🐝

Today we celebrate the incredible work of bees and other pollinators, and recognise how important they are to our environment and food production.

Did you know that many of the foods we enjoy every day rely on pollination? From apples and strawberries to tomatoes and beans, pollinators play a vital role in supporting biodiversity and agriculture.

Here in the UK, May is an especially busy time for beekeepers as colonies expand rapidly and begin making the most of spring forage 🌸🍯

You can help bees by:
🌼 Planting pollinator-friendly flowers
🌱 Supporting wildflower spaces
🍯 Buying local honey from trusted beekeepers
🐝 Learning more about pollinators and their habitats

Every small action makes a difference πŸ’›

🌼🐝 World Bee Day is coming up on 20th May! 🐝🌼

World Bee Day helps raise awareness of the important role pollinators play in supporting our environment and food production.

There are lots of simple ways we can all help bees:
🌸 Plant bee-friendly flowers
🌱 Leave areas of grass and wildflowers to grow
πŸ’§ Provide shallow water sources for pollinators
🍯 Support local beekeepers and local honey

May is one of the busiest times of year for beekeepers, with colonies growing quickly as bees take advantage of spring flowers and warmer weather.
During this month we support 'No Mow May' where we encourage everyone to not mow their lawns to allow wildflowers to grow to provide pollen and nectar as food for all pollinating insects.

Keep an eye out for more on World Bee Day next week πŸπŸ’›
