Today at the Keep Connected Cafe we had a visit from Michael of Cheshire West Voluntary Action who discussed Resilience in Action with our service users, sharing ideas about how to prepare for and respond to emergencies 💭 We then enjoyed a very tasty lunch of fish mornay served with new potatoes and peas followed by a tropical fruit salad and cream 🍍🍑🍌🍈

It was lovely to catch up with everyone again today at our cafe where we served baked potatoes with a bolognaise sauce followed by rice pudding and peaches 🍑 As well as lots of conversation, a game or two of dominoes was also enjoyed 😊

Yesterday at the cafe we had a visit from Healthwatch Cheshire West which gave everyone an opportunity to share useful feedback about health and care services. In amongst the chat, lunch was served - quiche, green beans, new potatoes and home made coleslaw followed by strawberries and cream in honour of the start of Wimbledon 🎾

Last week at the cafe we had an uplifting visit from Whitegate Primary School’s Elder class who shared some inspirational poetry written in honour of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday 🎉 They presented our group with a beautiful card containing excerpts from their poems and decorated with dried flowers 🌼🌸
