We’re delighted to be part of the Local Community Fund, and we currently have 718 Co-op Members supporting NMC, which is fantastic! 🎉🙌

But we’d love to have even more of you supporting us! The more members who choose NMC as their local cause, the more funding we could receive to help us provide essential exercise for people with neuromuscular conditions.

✈️Yet another fabulous fundraiser has taken to the skies in aid of NMC!

A huge congratulations and THANK YOU to Aimee, who has raised an amazing £365 for NMC! 🎉👏

Aimee has a special connection with NMC, having volunteered with us for six months in our Finance Department. She shared:

💬 “Wanting to give back, I volunteered at the NeuroMuscular Centre for six months in their finance department. During that time, I not only developed the confidence and skills that helped me begin my career, but I also saw first-hand the profound impact the Centre has on the people it supports. The gratitude from patients and families was overwhelming and deeply moving.”

We’re so grateful that Aimee chose to give back to NMC and take on this challenge.

This , we want to say an enormous THANK YOU to our incredible community.

To everyone who supports NMC through donating, fundraising or volunteering, to our Trustees, and to every member of the NMC Team who works so hard to empower people affected by neuromuscular conditions, thank you.

September is also Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Month, and throughout the month we want to shine a light on what it’s really like to live with, or care for someone with, a neuromuscular condition.

We’re delighted to be taking part once again in The Big Give Christmas Challenge; a week-long fundraising initiative where donations are DOUBLED! 💙✨

Starting on Giving Tuesday, this year we’re aiming to raise an incredible £30,000 to help provide talking therapies for our community. 🗣️💚

To make this happen, we’re currently looking for pledges. If you’re able to commit to making a donation between 1–8 December, we’d absolutely love to hear from you! 🙌

✈️ A huge congratulations and THANK YOU to Mark Hudson and Mike Royle! 🎉

These two incredible men took to the skies in aid of NMC and between them, they have raised a whopping £3,440 so far 🙌👏

What makes their challenge even more special is the incredibly personal reasons they each had for taking part and choosing to support NMC. 💙

🏆 Mark is our Site Manager, and his son Jake attends NMC for physiotherapy. Jake is also the Senior Designer for NMC Design+Print so Mark has witnessed first-hand the life-changing impact NMC has had on his son. ❤

💪 Mike has a neuromuscular condition himself and credits NMC with changing his life when he first came to us for treatment. He is also a long-standing volunteer with our Shed Club, giving his time to support others in our community. 🙏

Their challenge was a fantastic achievement in itself, but knowing the personal connection they both have with NMC makes their fundraising success even more meaningful.

Mark and Mike, on behalf of Team NMC - thank you for taking to the skies, pushing yourselves to the limit, and helping us continue to make a difference in the lives of people with neuromuscular conditions. ✈️💙

✨Makerday Saturdays are back!

Shibil Rasheeth has been doing a work placement with us, and we've been supporting him with a very exciting robotic arm support project!

We've been making our own tools and gears to help support the project and we'll be demoing our prototypes this Saturday from 11am - all welcome! 👋💻🗜️♻✨

Meet our volunteer in NMC Design+Print, David!

After being diagnosed with MS, David decided it was time for a new career path that would be less physical, sustainable long-term, allow him to manage his health effectively, and, most importantly, enable him to pursue his passion for graphic design. ✨

Now nearing the end of his degree, David has joined us to gain valuable experience, build his confidence and work on live projects for real clients. 💻

David explains:

💬 “Getting closer to finishing my graphic design degree, I wanted to gain some real-world experience to carry through into a career. As a person with MS, I found out about the NMC through Warrington Disability Partnership and was determined for this to be the place to gain experience.

I have felt very welcomed by everyone and have enjoyed being given a project that I can work on from start to finish.”

We’re absolutely delighted to have David as part of the team and look forward to supporting him as he takes the next exciting step in his creative career.🙌
