As the experts at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust say, mood has a tremendous effect on recovery and an act of kindness can really make all the difference.
🌟
We give thousands of bags to the NHS every year.
As the nurses and care providers say:
“We never know what’s going on in the bigger picture. Giving patients hope and something that sparks joy means so much.”
The staff at the hospitals love giving out the bags - the nurses say the bags are “incredible” and “fabulous”

This is VOLUNTEERS WEEK & is a chance for us to celebrate the incredible unpaid people behind Treatment Bag, their kindness, commitment and good humour.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our ever-evolving charity. They give their time, energy and compassion in ways that never fail to amaze.
From our newest volunteers knitting 🧶 hats in Yorkshire to those who have been part of the Treatment Bag family for years, we are grateful for every single one of you.
Our volunteers do an astonishing variety of things. They sort donations, run 🏃‍♂️ races and walk 🚶🏾‍♀️ miles.
They attend quizzes, go on telly, make endless cups of tea, cheer from the sidelines and wave flags with enthusiasm.
They sell 🪴 Christmas trees 🌲 cars 🚘 artwork 🖼️ and vintage clothes 👗
They sing carols, paint, draw, knit, wrap bags and raise awareness wherever they go.
They cycle 🚲 for miles, swim 🏊🏽‍♀️ for miles, drive 🚙 for miles and deliver bags to hospitals.
They make dog food, make human food and occasionally keep us all fed and watered.
They introduce us to companies, give monthly donations, play football ⚽️ and somehow find the time to do a hundred other wonderful things besides.
❤️
Whether you have been supporting us for the past 8 years or have helped once, we notice it, we appreciate it and we want to say a huge thank you.
🙏🏾
We see you, we value you and Treatment Bag simply would not be the same without you.

Most walking challenges come with schedules and step targets. This one is fun because it doesn’t. There is no pressure, no required pace and absolutely no judgement!
🚶 🚶‍♂️ 🚶🏾‍♀️
And there is a very good reason for it.
Every £20 raised provides one Treatment Bag for a cancer patient in the NHS, filled with thoughtful, luxury items to help ease the side effects of treatment.
See stories for how to donate.
🥰🥰🥰
So whether you are striding with purpose or mostly stopping for snacks, you will be doing something genuinely meaningful.
Lace up, preferably in blue and join in. Let us know if you’d like a pair of blue laces.
💙💙💙
After all, if you can walk to the kettle, you can do this.

We wanted to show the impact Treatment Bag has on patients going through cancer treatment.
From carefully selecting items, to packing each bag with care, this film captures the heart of what we do - and the difference these small comforts can make during an incredibly difficult time.

We hope to shine a light on the amazing community behind the charity, from volunteers at our wrap days to the nurses and care-givers who hand the bags to patients.

If you feel inspired and would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you.
Whether you’re interested in helping at a fundraiser, joining a wrap day or supporting us in another way, please get in touch via the website.

Donations are always welcome and make a real difference in helping us reach more patients.

We’re so proud of our bigger treatment bags. What you might not know is how much they are (& what a fantastic deal you get). We ask for a donation of £60 but in fact, the bags themselves are worth well over £100.
All the goods in the bag are carefully wrapped by hand so the recipient gets the fun of unwrapping a fantastic present with lots of goodies hiding inside all wrapped in bright tissue paper. We write your message on the label by hand and include a letter from the charity
If you want to send a bag to a friend a loved one or a colleague just add to our website.
