The Farmer Rural Awards 2026🍾

Last night, Jack, Lorna, Daisy, Stu and Sarah, attended the Farmer Rural Awards Evening.

Our Whitchurch YFC Ploughing Match was a finalist in the category 'Rural or Farming Event of the year'. It was a great way to recognise and celebrate the hard work which our club puts into our annual ploughing match.

Huge congratulations to the other finalists and to Edwards & Farmer Ltd for winning the category with their Charity Tractor Run. 🎉🚜

Farm tour, calf talk and BBQ! 🐄

Last night, 40 young farmers visited Moreton Wood Farm for a farm walk to learn about autumn block calving.

This was followed by an interesting calf lung scanning demonstration by John and Matt from Sandstone Vets. 🩺

Thank you to the Vernon Family for hosting the evening and to Sandstone Vet Group for supporting the event. It was a great night enjoyed by all! 🌟
