Things are steamy hot in the compost bays.... spent hops from Fat Head Brewery and mulch from North Somerset Council are adding to what we hope will be the best compost this side of the fence, thanks to the knowledge of our North Somerset Master Composters ;-) !
Bonus smiles for the multi-headed random sunflower 🌻 brightening the view behind the compost area! 💛

A bucket full of Hornbeam seeds!. Collected on site after a windy day. This is why we will be announcing more seed collecting dates soon as it'll be too late to wait till September!

Whilst we made a bit of a temporary mess outside..... the inside is beginning to get some order to it!
By utilising one huge 21ft SEEMonster sign left in said container, we are sectioning off areas to make it easier to find things and navigate through!
It was ridiculously heavy, so huge thanks to Johnny Boxshall and Steve for getting 2/3 up and in place.
There is light.... and space at the end of the tunnel!!

This is the tale of The Very Hungry Phalera bucephala AKA; Buff-tip moth larvae!!

These hungry little blighters chowed down on One whole oak tree 🌳 (albeit a very small one) in the last two days!! Goodness only knows what destruction they'd have caused for the rest of the week if we hadn't spotted them today!!!!
They have been lovingly relegated to the compost pile as there is nothing left of this tree to quarantine!! :-(

This project; Weston Wallz is one of my favourites, of the many fab things going on, in and around W-s-M 😀 🙌.
And because this town is full of collaborators I'm meeting up with a chief instigator who may very well be the answer to our conundrum.... how do you give a shipping container kerb appeal?!?
