Back in May 2 branch members made the long trip down to Brighton for the Royal British Legion Annual Conference. They spent the weekend meeting other members of the legion as well as members of RBL staff and groups who work with the RBL to look after those in need of our assistance.

Part of the job of the delegate was to put force the branch's votes for the motions on the table at conference, prior to the event at a branch meeting we discussed the motions and as a branch took a vote. These votes are then put forward at conference.

Bringing back a comprehensive report on what happened over the weekend for our branch members and of course the lovely pictures below we give our thanks to Pauline and Ollie for them travelling down to be our representatives for the event and bringing back a wealth of information.

Never Forget.

Never Forget.

On this day 82 years ago, tens of thousands of courageous British and Allied soldiers, sailors and aircrew took part in the D-Day landings, the largest seaborne invasion in history.

Today we remember the service and sacrifice of all those involved, commencing the liberation of France and Western Europe and turning the tide in the Second World War. Together with personnel from the United States, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Denmark and Poland, British forces showed immense courage, and endured great sacrifice.

We will remember them.

Thank You To ALL our members, friends and family who help us at events.
