Hi Westhoughton. A post has gone out today on the What’s on in Westhoughton page regarding an idea we had a couple of years ago but that we did not follow through as a club due to some issues at the time.

As we’ve frequently commented on our posts we’d love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer with us on our Christmas sleigh in 2026.

We’re looking for volunteers to help us alongside our loyal elves who make our sleigh possible each year!

Criteria:
- Must be over 18 for insurance purposes
- Must be mobile and able to walk the route alongside our sleigh

And, that’s a wrap!

Father Christmas and his elves are off for a rest before their big day on Christmas Eve.🎅🤶🏻✨🎄

Thank you to all of the Rotarians at The Rotary Club of Westhoughton, Father Christmas Visits, James Booth Bolton Limited, Bolton Kia, Sainsbury's Westhoughton and all of our amazing volunteers for making the sleigh happen again this year! We couldn’t have done it without you.

Also, special thanks to the community in Westhoughton for their continued support. We’re looking forward to seeing you again in 2026. ✨❤️

We’ll see you in the New Year with an update on our fundraising from this years sleigh but until then…Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. 🎄

ALTERNATIVE DATE ORGANISED - Metal Box and Chew Moor 22nd December 2025.

Due to our unexpected cancellation of the Sleigh route on Friday we’ve managed to get together a band of volunteers to provide an alternative night for Chew Moor and Metal.

This will now be between 6.00pm and 9.00pm on Monday 22nd December 2025.

We hope to see you then!

Church Street/ Collingwood Way/ Market Street

We hope we will see you on our route between 6.00pm and 9.00pm! 🛷
