Daisy Programme held some training with the University of East Anglia (UEA) Student Midwives. They made us some artefact which they felt represented us as an organisation and the work that we do. It is beautiful and we are so grateful, thank you from all of us here at Daisy 🌸

I never imagined I’d be running a marathon. I only started running last year, and since then I’ve really tried to stay consistent and push myself — but 26.2 miles was never part of the original plan.

Just a quick update re training and fundraising for our wonderful Gordana who is running the TCS London Marathon on behalf of us here at The Daisy Programme -

I did my long run on Easter Sunday and incorporated Fakenham Active 5k in it, where I was the fastest female in my category (50 to 59). I ran from home a long way to Fakenham through North Norfolk villages, almost 15 miles, a quick warm up in Fakenham or rather just trying to stay warm as it was a fresh morning, then I did the 5k race at 22:44 minutes, being mindful of my quite sore legs and then ran back home, completing almost 23 miles that day and finishing the week at 86 miles. I feel good, quite positive. I am going to spend the coming few weeks doing no more than 50 miles each week, eating well and looking after myself. A number of my friends contributed to my fundraising effort.
