Daisy Programme

Daisy Programme Supporting survivors of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Abuse. Whether your still in the relationship or not. We support families in Breckland, Norfolk.

We work with female and male survivors of Domestic Abuse. We are non-judgemental, compassionate and support clients to understand where they are now and where they would like to be. We also raise awareness of domestic abuse. As communities become more aware and learn the warning sign perpetrators will find it harder to continue, it will become more socially unacceptable. Two women die every week a

t the hands of an abusive partner. We are working to change this. Please be aware, this is an open forum so anyone can read this! If you need immediate help and support, please call the freephone National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247 or in an emergency call 999. We would like our page to be a safe and friendly place, so we may have to remove posts that are: offensive, insensitive
or compromise someone's safety

We also advise people to check Facebook's terms and conditions.

Daisy Programme held some training with the University of East Anglia (UEA) Student Midwives. They made us some artefact which they felt represented us as an organisation and the work that we do. It is beautiful and we are so grateful, thank you from all of us here at Daisy 🌸

I never imagined I’d be running a marathon. I only started running last year, and since then I’ve really tried to stay consistent and push myself — but 26.2 miles was never part of the original plan.

Just a quick update re training and fundraising for our wonderful Gordana who is running the TCS London Marathon on behalf of us here at The Daisy Programme -

I did my long run on Easter Sunday and incorporated Fakenham Active 5k in it, where I was the fastest female in my category (50 to 59). I ran from home a long way to Fakenham through North Norfolk villages, almost 15 miles, a quick warm up in Fakenham or rather just trying to stay warm as it was a fresh morning, then I did the 5k race at 22:44 minutes, being mindful of my quite sore legs and then ran back home, completing almost 23 miles that day and finishing the week at 86 miles. I feel good, quite positive. I am going to spend the coming few weeks doing no more than 50 miles each week, eating well and looking after myself. A number of my friends contributed to my fundraising effort.
I have attached a few photos for you.

Our lovely Gordana who is running the TCS London Marathon has been updating us on her progress and training ready for the race.
'I had a race this Sunday, Wymondham 20. I was 18th lady and 2nd in my age category, finishing at 2:33. I have done this race in the past and I didn't like it. It is very challenging. It is quite undulating, but also two laps, which means you have to tackle the same hills twice. I felt good though. My focus was on making sure I fulled well as this is my biggest challenge. I am quite confident about London. I am planning one more long run on 5 April then it will be taper and looking after my body to be ready for 26 April'
Well done what a great achievement - please donate if you can below - we are so grateful 🌸
