Brand new term, brand new programme. Last night was fabulous, a few games to start with, followed by a few simple challenges, one based on the TV programme "Taskmasters".

Although our membership is low, we also have far more girls than boys. We are continuing to seek youngsters between at least 10 years old and 13 and a half to join us on a Wednesday evening at 7pm for 90 minutes.

Those completely new to scouting, are most welcome to come along, free of charge, and see exactly what scouting is all about. Please phone first as occasionally we do activities away from our scout hall at Elphwood. We would hate to hear of anyone turning up to a locked gate !

Hi folks,

Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer break.

Waltham Abbey Bulls is the largest mixed scouting troop in the area. We can change young peoples lives by offering them fun, exciting and challenging activities, unique experiences, life skills and the chance to help others and set them up for adulthood.

We have our own purpose built hut and a large private forest at Elphwood, which allows us to teach your children skills in a safe and controlled environment. All our leaders have a First Response qualification, have a current DBS certificate and undergo regular training sessions.

On the 17th of September, The Bulls start a new scouting year. We are looking for girls and boys aged at least 10 years of age to join our Wednesday evening Scout Troop. If you have ever wondered what it is like to be a scout and what we do at our meetings, please join us one evening and see for yourself.

We are a very friendly bunch, we will encourage you to join in with our games and activities, but we are a scouting organization, not the army, where nervous youngsters can join in at their own pace.

Elphwood is located at the far rear of the Cornmill Car Park (behind the Town Hall) and meetings start at 7pm. We finish our sessions around 9pm when on-site.

Yesterday was our last meeting of the present scouting year. To finish off the term, we held a family games evening and BBQ.
The short video shows briefly everyone having a wonderful time, playing a favourite scouting game using short poles.

We wish all our scouts, their families and our supporters, a very happy, enjoyable and safe summer break, and hope to see everyone in September.
