What a fantastic weekend visiting Blair Atholl Jamborette in Blair Atholl, Scotland.

Held every two years since 1946, Blair is one of those events that is recognised by Scouts across 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. For many participants, it’s also their first real experience of World Scouting and the friendships, cultures and shared experiences that make it so special.

What makes Blair unique is its twinning model, where Scottish and international patrols live, work and adventure together for two weeks, creating friendships that will last a lifetime.

For those two weeks, a field in rural Scotland becomes a thriving town, complete with the facilities and infrastructure you’d expect – all planned, built and run by an incredible team of volunteers.

A huge thank you to every volunteer who not only gives up two weeks of their summer, but also the countless months of planning beforehand to make sure these young people have a safe, fun and unforgettable experience.

International experiences like Blair are one of the things that make Scouting so special. Looking back, the international events I attended as a young person played a huge role in shaping the leader I am today. I’m sure many of this year’s participants will look back on Blair in exactly the same way.

I hope you all have an amazing second week! 🙏

Really saddened to hear about the impact of the two earthquakes in Venezuela.

In the midst of this tragedy, it’s incredibly moving to see members of Asociación de Scouts de Venezuela already stepping forward to support their communities, despite many of them being directly affected themselves.

If you are able, please consider supporting their response through the Scout Donation Platform via the link below.

Even if you’re not in a position to donate, please take a moment to hold in your thoughts our brother and sister Scouts who continue to live out their Scout Promise by helping others in times of need.

My sincere thanks to all members of AsociaciĂłn de Scouts de Venezuela for their courage and service, and to the Interamerica Support Centre team for their continued support to the National Scout Organization during this difficult time.

It’s International Volunteer Day!

A huge thank you to the 5 million incredible volunteers across . Volunteers have been at the heart of Scouts since the very beginning in 1907, and they remain absolutely essential to everything we do today.

Without a volunteer, a Cub Scout joining for the very first time wouldn’t have been able to take their first steps into our movement.
Without a volunteer like a Scout Leader, a young person wouldn’t have learned a new skill for life.
And without volunteers, our amazing camps, jamborees, and international adventures simply wouldn’t happen.

Thank you to every section leader, commissioner, supporter, board member, and committee member. Without your dedication, we wouldn’t have the movement we’re so proud of today. 🤗
