Hillingdon Shopmobility Hillingdon Shopmobility - local volunteer led charity providing a mobility equipment hire service in West London. Find us in The Chimes Shopping Centre.

Low cost manual wheelchairs, powered scooters and more. Available for all ages with limited mobility. Our friendly and helpful team of staff and volunteers will help you choose exactly the right equipment to suit your needs and abilities and provide you with tuition on using it safely and confidently. Based in the car park of “intu Uxbridge” shopping centre, we have 22 electric scooters, 6 powerch

airs, 20 manual wheelchairs and a 4 wheeled walker with a seat. But thats not all! You can also borrow blankets and folding walking sticks. There’s more! You can even use our services when we are closed! There are special wheelchairs and small electric scooters available for holiday hire at a very reasonable charge. So go ahead and enjoy planning your next trip, either to Uxbridge town or farther afield. We are open Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.15am and 4.30pm (last hire 3.00pm)

Please note that this website can be viewed by anyone so we advise that you do not include phone numbers or email addresses in your message. You can also give the office a call on 01895 271510. We are also very happy to visit local groups and societies to give talks and demonstrations of the service.

Through dedication, hard work and invaluable contribution over the years, we send our farewells to volunteers Marlene and Harry at Hillingdon ShopMobility, who will be retiring from us on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.

We are delighted that they will continue to serve as trustees, and we are sure we will see them regularly when they pop in to visit.

Marlene and Harry, thank you, it has been a privilege working with you. Your volunteer efforts helped us remain open four days a week. This not only made a difference to the service but also to all of our customers who rely on us each week.

We wish you both a happy and fulfilling retirement and look forward to continuing to work with you in your capacity as trustees. ❤️❤️❤️

What a great opportunity to meet up with members of the Hillingdon Stroke Support group yesterday and talking everything Shopmobility, disabled toilets, parking in Uxbridge and making the most of life with the aid of mobility equipment whether it be accessing Uxbridge Town Centre, going to a Taylor Swift concert or having a holiday in Europe- we have the means.

Recently, one of our lovely customers, who once thought it would be impossible to explore places independently due to limited mobility, enjoyed a week at Sea Acres Holiday Park with her family, crafting unforgettable moments at Marazion Beach, St Michael’s Mount, and The Chocolate Factory. ☀️
