SPLAT is a warm and welcoming group for anyone parenting alone. Join us for themed play, songs and fun activities for little ones, while parents can enjoy a cuppa, a chat and the chance to connect with others who understand the joys and challenges of parenting solo.

✨ Celebrate Christmas with Spark! ✨

Halloween has been and gone, and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun - we've got a fantastic line-up of festive events for children, families and adults to enjoy this holiday season! From a cosy adults-only craft evening, to magical visits with Santa, and a fun-filled New Year's Eve Eve Party, there's something for everyone.

🎄Sparkle Craftmas – an adults-only Christmas crafting evening, with festive treats and great company
🎅 A Magical Visit With Santa – letters to Santa, reindeer food, hot chocolate, festive activities and a special gift from Father Christmas
🎉 New Year’s Eve Eve Party at Spark – music, games, dancing and celebrations for little partygoers

🌟Volunteer Shout Out: Thank You Team🌟

This week we'd like to say a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers Shevonne, Cal, Roe, Elsie, Aveline and Abbie for all their hard work at Spark.

The team rolled up their sleeves and tackled a long list of jobs around the Spark Baby Bank and Children's Bank, helping to make the area safer, tidier and more welcoming for the families who use our services 💚

They scooped up piles of mud and leaves, improving access to the buggy store and Baby Bank, cleaned toys and equipment, organised the outdoor storage cupboard, swept pathways and much more.

Working through rain, wind and sunshine, they took on every weather imaginable and never stopped smiling. Their dedication, energy and willingness to help make such a difference to Spark and the families we support.

Thank you all for giving your time to support our community – we couldn't do what we do without wonderful volunteers like you. 👏

🎉 New Group Starting Next Thursday! 🎉

Looking for something fun to do after school? Come along to After School Fun – a brand-new group for children aged 4–8 years and their parents/carers!

Each week we'll enjoy themed play activities, games, crafts, fun challenges and a snack together. It's a great opportunity for children to play, make friends and unwind after the school day, while parents and carers can connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

🎄Can you help us spread a little Christmas magic?

As we start preparing for our Spark Christmas Grotto and Christmas Appeal, we're looking for donations of Christmas decorations and small Christmas trees.

Christmas is a very special time at Spark, and every year we work hard to create a magical experience for local families and children. We're also hoping to collect some small artificial Christmas trees for our Spark Christmas Appeal. These will be placed in local businesses and community settings to help raise awareness of the appeal and encourage donations, helping us spread a little Christmas magic across our local area.

If you have any Christmas decorations, baubles, tinsel, lights (in good working order), ornaments or small artificial Christmas trees that you no longer need, we'd be incredibly grateful for your support.

💕 Important Update – Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Support Group 💕

From after the October half-term break, our Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Support Group will be moving to a new time and will now take place on Monday mornings from 9:30am–10:30am at Spark (rather than Fridays).

Whether you’re expecting a baby, navigating the early days with your little one, or looking for breastfeeding support, our friendly group offers a welcoming space to access information, support and advice, while connecting with other local parents.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers and trained breastfeeding peer supporters, Hazel and Dinah, who run the group and provide a listening ear, encouragement and practical support for families on their pregnancy and breastfeeding journeys 💗

We look forward to welcoming you on Monday mornings 🌟

Creative Burntwood have some places left on the next Baby Disco event which takes place this Thursday 29th October.

The venue has changed to Chase Terrace Community Centre, Burntwood and the event runs from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. It is suitable for strong standers to aged 4. Ticket price is £5 for 1 adult and 1 baby / toddler.
