Imagine an average classroom of thirty children.
Now imagine a third of those desks are empty.
That's ten children.

In just the past THREE WEEKS, we've arranged bereavement escapes for ten families—giving them precious time away together after the unimaginable has happened.

We've also arranged two final family escapes for children whose time is heartbreakingly short. Families creating memories they know will become their most treasured.

This is the reality of our work - it's not just holidays. It's breathing space, laughter between tears and time together when every moment matters.

Behind every escape is a family whose world has changed forever.

Thank you to everyone who supports us. Because of you, we're able to say "yes" when these families need us most. ❤️

Moments like this are exactly why Alice's Escapes exists. We were so touched to hear from one of our wonderful family's after we recently supported a truly special break to London.

Their daughter has been living with Osteosarcoma for over two years and experiencing cocktails on the rooftop bar at the Amano Covent Garden Hotel, was one of her biggest wishes. The memories they made together are ones the family will treasure forever.

When families are living with the unimaginable, it's these precious slices of normality, laughter and togetherness that mean everything.

Thank you to every single person who supports Alice's Escapes. Because of your kindness, families can press pause, make memories and simply enjoy being together.

WOW! In just ONE WEEK, the amazing Pete is now only £39 away from reaching his fundraising target to help give one of our incredibly deserving families a final holiday together.

This week alone, we've been able to arrange two final family escapes for families caring for a terminally ill child. As the charity's co-founder, and as a mum who lost my beautiful daughter, Alice, I know just how priceless these precious moments and memories become.

Peter explained, "I've always found comfort, joy and a sense of freedom in both the outdoors and travelling. Whether it's taking on a challenge like the Yorkshire Three Peaks or simply exploring somewhere new, these experiences have given me the chance to recharge, create lasting memories and step away from the pressures of everyday life. It's this appreciation that reminds me how easy it is to take those opportunities for granted. For the families supported by Alice's Escapes, time is incredibly precious and being gifted a final family holiday together is so valuable."

Peter is no stranger to our charity, as he's married to our incredible Treasurer, Alex. Kindness obviously runs in the family!

SAD NEWS
So sad to share that Saving Caitlin sadly passed away yesterday. To those of you who kindly donated, thank you for giving her hope.
Thinking of her family and friends - what an amazing girl 💜

Another year of warm weather for the 40 mile K2B & 21 mile C2B, and our teams were well supported by Aqua Pura, a local bottled water company based in the Eden Valley.
Their generous donation of individual water bottles meant that every walker was amply hydrated at each of our support stops — with an extra bottle waiting for them at the finish line too!
