Opportunity based near Royal Wootton Bassett

Some good news finds me asking around to see if anyone else would like to join our community.

One of our long term helpers is happily rather pregnant and so although we can’t get rid of her as she is part of the furniture, she is strictly on tea making and faffing from now on.

So we are looking to share our little ‘peace’ of heaven on earth with one or two individuals who would like to help out with all our animals.
Our days go something like:
09:00-11:00 chores, coffee and chitchat
11:00-14:00 horsey fun, riding, handling, grooming, hugging, coffee and chitchat, barn picnics and hanging out with animals.

We are a small community of likeminded horse owners and helpers- a nice bunch even if we do say so ourselves. We have 15 acres, 9 horses and 4 Shetlands that all live out 24/7 so no stables to muck out however we have to do a bit of poo picking and yard cleaning.
This year will be exciting because we will be starting two of our beautiful youngsters as well as all the other stuff we do.

We need help with hay and tending horses and other animals around a yard filled with various characters including goats and chickens. We start around 9.00 until around 2pm all days are available as we can shift around to accommodate you. One day a week is fine, or more if you would like.

If you are rider with good basic skills or above, riding could be included as part of the perks however none riders are also very welcome
and lessons are available in the summer.

This opportunity would suit someone who is reliable, enjoys the outdoors and not scared to have fun, get dirty and a laugh. If you long to be around horses and other animals or perhaps prefer just to learn about how we keep horses and want a bit of an adventure, this may be something to consider.

This opportunity can be a bit physical and can be cold and dirty but we do have a lot of fun too.

Who are you?

Well we guess you love animals, you may be someone who needs some down time, a new interest or space to breathe, perhaps you are just looking for a bit of an adventure or are missing to touch and smell
of horses. We would be happy to have you here, we and the animals will teach you everything you need to know and we promise an adventure.

The barn is a no smoking site and you will need your own transport and be over 18.
