This Thursday, 4th June, sees the welcome return of Bryan Thurlow, as "The Perennial Mr Potter" at Tiptree Garden Club. Bryan last "performed" for us nearly 12 years ago and was very well received. Bryan dresses up as an old time gardener and regales us with tales and amusing anecdotes. The meeting starts at 7.30pm at St Luke's extension and is £3 for members and £4 for visitors. There are refreshments and a raffle. A warm welcome awaits you and you will not be disappointed.

Don't forget that at Tiptree Garden Club this Wednesday, 8th April, Leigh Arnold will be talking on growing and showing Daffodils. Leigh is a prolific winner of trophies for Daffodils so he knows what he's talking about. Now's your chance to see why the Judge choose one flower over another. Meeting starts at 7.30pm at St Luke's extension, there will be refreshments and a raffle. Members £3 and visitors £4.
This is not our usual day for our meeting, hence the reminder.

To BEE or not to BEE. That is the question? Tiptree Garden Club are delighted to welcome back an old favourite of ours, Clive De Bruyn a Tiptree Beekeeper. Clive will be talking to us tomorrow evening about "products from the Beehive". His talks are always very interesting and informative with Clive's dry sense of humour. Our meeting starts as usual at 7.30 at St Luke's extension. Admission is £3 for members and £4 for visitors. There will be refreshments and a raffle. Are you at a loose end this Thursday 4th December and is this weather getting you down? Then come along to Tiptree Garden Club for our social evening/fun quiz night with Bev & Mike at St Luke's extension Tiptree. You are always assured of a warm welcome and a bit of a laugh. The quiz is not to be taken seriously and we are having tables of six. No need to book, just turn up. If you come on your own or as a couple, no worries, you will be seated on a table with a high percentage of nutcases for that table. BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS & NIBBLES and tea & coffee will be provided. There is also an excellent raffle and proceedings start promptly at 7.30pm so come along early to pay (members £3 and visitors £4) get your raffle tickets and settle down ready for the fun. We have to vacate the Hall by 9.30pm so you will be home in time for your favourite tipple before bedtime. Hope to see you there.

This Thursday the 6th November, Tiptree Garden Club will be holding their AGM at St Luke's extension staring at 7.30 sharp.
This will be followed by a subsidised Fish & Chip supper for members (visitors pay full price).
This will be followed by a SHORT talk on The Tiptree Garden Club by yours truly and will include historical info, anecdotes etc.
There will also be refreshments and a raffle and as usual it's £3 for members and £4 for visitors.
I've said that we start at 7.30 sharp, as this is when we order the Fish & Chips. Anyone arriving after this time cannot be guaranteed F & C's.

If you're at a loose end next Thursday evening 2nd October, why not come along to Tiptree Garden Club at St Luke's extension for a HOOT of an evening. Our speaker will be Stephanie Calister-Jarold who will be talking about Owls. Our meetings start at 7.30pm sharp and costs £3 for members and £4 for visitors. All are welcome and there will be refreshments and a raffle. This is also the time for membership renewal (or new people to join) and the cost is still only £5 for the year. If you are renewing your membership or joining, please come a bit earlier so that we can get the admin out of the way before the meeting starts.We look forward to seeing you all.

This Thursday the 7th August we are delighted to welcome back Mrs Ann Dale who will be talking about climate change, Heat domes, greenhouse gasses etc. Before you start yawning, anyone who has been to one of Mrs Dale's sessions will know that there will be practical experiments with audience participation. Why is a Hedgehog called a Hedgehog? Do you have Hedgehogs in your garden? Maybe you have some and don't know it. Would you like to know how to encourage them as they are gardener's friends ? The answer to these questions and more can be found at St Luke's extension, Thursday 3rd July at 7.30pm where The Tiptree Garden Club will be having a talk by Suffolk Prickles, a Hedgehog rescue organisation. Admission is £3 for members, £4 for visitors and there will be refreshments and a raffle.. You're always assured of a warm welcome so come along and pay us a visit.
