There are so many exciting developments happening here at The Ben Cleuch but we have to say, we are most excited about getting closer to being able to launch our new community library! 📚📖

All of us trustees have been passionate about ensuring our community has a library since the start of our journey to running the Centre, and we were so pleased to see this wish mirrored by you, our amazing community! 😄🥰

It has taken a lot of learning (thank you Dollar Community Development Trust, Our Dumyat Centre and some of our new volunteers!) and time to ensure we are making best use of space, the fantastic stock of books Clackmannanshire Council were able to leave in the Centre, and plan how we will operate day to day, but we are getting closer🙌

A library isn’t just a collection of books, but a meeting space, the opportunity to spark imagination, get lost in a story, be transported to new worlds without ever leaving the comfort of your seat… evidenced by our volunteers getting distracted by books they want to read every time we get together 🤣😅

If you would like to join us as a volunteer in the library, or more generally to support our activities and lets in the centre, please pop us a message or complete our short volunteer enquiry form here - https://bit.ly/4x8JS29

So wonderful to see the amazing efforts of local artists (and our wee Centre) highlighted by Angela at Resonate Together ❤️

Angela's reflections on how creativity has sparked connection, and the courage to go forth and produce not only beautiful artworks, but welcoming spaces and opportunities for all, captures perfectly this amazing group of artists and our vision for the Ben Cleuch to be a place for all in our community.

We have something exciting shaping up behind the scenes...

A new community art exhibition space! 👩‍🎨🎨🖼

Some of our local artists, and our resident handyman trustee are creating a bright, welcoming space for all to enjoy, and local talent to be showcased.

We will have a formal launch soon, but in the meantime, if you'd like to know more about any of the artists or their works, please contact [email protected]
