We celebrate the diverse voices of Tilbury and southern Thurrock.

Through mentoring, training and support, we ensure regeneration reflects our community’s strength, needs, and shared goals. One Community is a locally grown organisation bringing together local people and groups to create a place to be proud of. We work in partnership with other businesses, agencies, and local people from different backgrounds and experiences to promote community well being. We help to release local potential through volunteering, skills sharing and development, mentoring, life coaching, access to training, work club, job creation, financial empowerment, credit union, health and well being and provide space to carry out partnership work.

One Community attended the USP College T Level Industry Placement Celebrations! 🎉

It was a pleasure to receive recognition from Claire White, Principal of USP College, for our partnership and support for young people.

A big thank you to Claire White, Cherie Brightwell, Hannah Johnson, and Industry Placement Officers Maria Bernard and Charli Heddon for such a lovely celebration and their continued support! 💙

Through volunteering and work placements, we’ve welcomed students who have gained hands-on experience, developed skills and contributed to our projects.

We look forward to creating more opportunities together!

This Black History Month, we’re incredibly proud to see our very own Samson, Community Support Engagement Manager, recognised by DWP as an Unsung Hero! 👏🏾

Through our Steps to Success project, Samson works alongside Isabela, our Project Support Officer, helping local residents build confidence, overcome barriers and access employment opportunities.

We Are Creating More Opportunities for Young People With Our Work Placements Program! 💪

Today, we were so happy to welcome Maria, Industry Placement Officer from USP College – Palmer’s Campus, to One Community!

As we prepare to support students undertaking their T Level industry placements this academic year, Maria had the opportunity to explore our space, meet our team, and discuss placement arrangements, including health and safety and the support available to students. Our growing partnership with USP College reflects our commitment to empowering young people through practical experience, skills development and career opportunities.
