Forestry England's Shadow Volunteer Scheme gives you the opportunity to work alongside experienced teams, learn new skills, and see first-hand what goes into caring for our nation's forests.

No specific qualifications are needed, and placements run for six months, one to three days a week.

It was a pleasure to be invited to attend Givaudan's Annual Safety Day in Overseal and deliver a session on Making a Difference: Volunteering, Wellbeing and Community Impact 💙

Together, we explored how volunteering can give people a greater sense of purpose, support wellbeing, build confidence and skills, and create lasting positive change in local communities. The discussion highlighted the benefits for both volunteers and the people and causes they support.

One of the highlights was delivering the session alongside one of our amazing charity volunteers. Their personal experiences and insights brought the conversation to life and gave attendees a genuine understanding of the impact volunteering can have. Hearing first-hand how volunteering has influenced their journey added real depth to the session 🫶

A huge thank you to everyone at Givaudan for the warm welcome and for recognising the value of volunteering and community involvement as part of employee wellbeing and engagement.
